The photograph on my wall calendar for #December is a #snowy scene from #Austria from the late 1980s/early 90s. Probably near #Hinterstoder in #UpperAustria.

I find myself with the puzzling conundrum of figuring out how far my protagonist would have to walk circa 1990 to find a pay phone. She's in an apartment complex, and I can't remember if pay phones were common within the grounds of those places. I have vague memories that there were phones in the pool area of one I lived in, but I'm not sure I trust them. I remember having to walk to a corner gas station about a mile or so away.

Well, I tried that, and.... damn, I think I'll be keeping this one as an original "Flight of the Navigator" inspired alien ship. Maybe even print it out. Maybe print it out in the next hour.

It's such a wacky mesh, and I constructed it the strangest ways. Topology looks real nice, though. All contiguous quads.

Now, ooooon the other hand, this ship is so sick. It morphs between these two forms, the sharper one for high speed maneuvering. God bless reflection mapping.

....and that's when I fell into another CG hole. This was Omnibus, after they bought the Foonly F1 from Triple-I, but before they clusterfucked the CG industry. They already had employees from Digital Effects, though. Faskinating.
