This one for the #shittycamerachallenge is #Leicester city centre (Jubilee Square) taken with my Fujica Rapid D1 - another one of my Rapid / SL film cameras.
Rapid / SL is a #35mm film format that should have succeeded but was overtaken by the Instamatic 126 format.
I enjoy the challenge of loading film for them - and am grateful to Snaps Photos in #Bournemouth who are happy to process them for me.

Julie McCoy! (from Love Boat).
What I remember about Lauren Tewes is how kind she was to the low on the totem pole folks on the set, myself included. She worked as a waitress before landing her gig on Love Boat so I guess that has something to do with it.
She dealt with substance abuse issues for a long time so hopefully she's doing well now. I heard she's a chef.

I spent a couple of days visiting 10 lovely old churches in Wexford, in the United parishes of Wexford and Kilscoran.

So many times I passed this church without ever stopping the car. This is Whitfield Holy Trinity Church in the parish of Plenmeller, Northumberland. Taken with my trusty Lomo Cosmic Symbol in black and white it has an old vintage look to it and definitely belongs in the Nostalgia Nouveaux gallery.

We used to go to the Sri Chinmoy Ashram on the beach, basically for the free vegetarian food. No indoctrination or culty stuff, but I did meet the guru. He pointed his finger at my solar plexus and I felt a weird sensation. Somebody told me he was opening my heart chakra. So that was cool

This is my review of the new ORWO Wolfen NC 500 film, along with some thoughts on how to get better results from it:

It has a unique, desaturated palette and chunky grain. This film, along with NC 400 has already been (allegedly) rebranded by RETO and I think it's closely related to Lomochrome Metropolis.

It took him just under eight hours to get there, and the welcome party wasn't as welcoming as he'd hoped. After he'd been frisked, and the car meticulously checked over, he was told to park round the back. At that point he knew there was no turning back.

Developed some 200 ISO B&W film which I had pushed to 1600 the other week. I really love just how grainy they look. Even the imperfect shots have a warmth to them.
Definitely going to push more B&W film.
I'm not quite in the 'lomography' camp but... I love shooting things on film that emphasis the uniqueness of film - whether that's the colour of certain stocks of film, or the grain and imperfections.
Today's snow, while beautiful, has me longing for spring. Here is a quick #35mm snap from Longwood Gardens last year.
