More experimenting.
Now added a #rat model that is fully set up with regify.
Other things that were tested with this one:
- Linking models from one blender file to another (so I don't have to manage copies of a model across different scenes/images)
- Changed outlines from Freestyle to Grease Pencil. A lot faster and more freedom in style.
Now the wolf just needs a proper rigify rig as well. And maybe both some NSFW bits.

I have finally done some progress on my #TechWear outfit!
The body straps are now modeled, alongside the leg bags. I still gotta add loose straps to the bags and I'm considering adding buckles to the body straps but I'm not sure yet.
I'm also not sure what to do about the leg straps. Advice would be appreciated!

I’m turning another 2D image into 3D! These are some character designs I did for a children’s book project I was working on a few years ago. Some aspects of the style I chose don’t translate directly to the 3D medium but I’m hopeful that it’ll turn out okay after a few iterations :) mostly I want to be able to capture the right energy…

"Last Morning Before War" was an image I did in 2019, I wanted to mimic old masters and I wanted to show a female warrior in full armor that is not "chick armor". I also wanted the image to have a melancholic vibe. I revisited it, changed the image composition to golden ratio, changed the character and posing, added thingamagooks I thought would fit (a sword, a helmet), rendered again and added some postwork again. The bright regions are far less overblown and I am generally a lot more satisfied with the new version that the old.

Yes... I'm still working on my ArtPen, only now I've modeled a different fountain pen. I'm also still trying to combine the right material nodes in Arnold deep dive. I have combined ai-curvature and ai-ambient-occlusion with a mix shader.... but even though I'm very subtle about the various settings.... I'm still missing that certain something. I'm slowly but surely making progress.

It is no secret that adobe is a wildly unethical company with barely functioning software that uses predatory sale and subscription tactics, holding the creative industries in a stranglehold.
To make an example: Substance painter is made to not open projects made with newer versions of the software from the old ones, thus making one time purchase of their product not viable if you wish to collaborate or use a project given to you without having to purchase again for a newer version.
We as creatives need to steer away from adobe software:
-Don't recommend it to people.
-Stop supporting them by buying new versions of their software
-Move different software.
We can help loosen their grip on creativity.
Heres some software alternatives I have used and/or know about.

Substance painter - > Armor Paint; Quixel Mixer.
Photoshop -> Clip studio, Gimp, Krita, SAI,
Animate ->ToonBoom, Clip studio, Cacani
