I don't have crystal clear memories of Kindergarten, mainly of enjoying everything about it except nap time. 2023 Mark however can fully embrace a good nap.

Quand j'étais très très jeune, j'ai vu à la télé des épisodes de la série Den vita stenen (La Pierre blanche). Elle a été diffusée en 1977 dans l'émission Les Visiteurs du mercredi.
La série racontait l'histoire de deux jeunes enfants et d'une pierre blanche. Les deux gosses se lançaient des défis pour obtenir la possession de la pierre.
L'un des défis était de grimper sur la tour de l'Horloge pour y dessiner un visage.
Hé bien croyez-le ou pas, mais chaque fois que j'entends les paroles de Cabrel "elle a gommé les chiffres des horloges du quartier", je repense à cette fichue série de 1977 et au défi de l'horloge.

Listening for what has to be some thousandth time this morning, one of my favorite albums ever, released the year before I was born-- The Clash's brilliant London Calling.
A perfect record from front to back, of course.
This album is such a huge part of my youth, having discovered it with my friends when I was around 13 or 14, been listening to it for (nearly) 30 years now.
These songs are like, INGRAINED in me. They're so damn catchy and amazing. The Clash's other albums and songs are cool too, but there's something MAGICAL about this album.

Craig Smith writes about his preservation efforts for the the Sunset Editorial Sound Effects Library from the USC Archive- these sound effects come from the Sunset Editorial collection which was donated to USC Cinema in 1990. They include the original recording of the Wilhelm scream (the original is playable and linked in the article)!
From the article: "Sunset Editorial had a low-key history in Hollywood. Not a lot is known about them. This is because their credits in films were usually just 'Sound Effects — Sunset Editorial'. The company was active from about 1964 to 1987."
Sunset mainly provided sound effects for TV shows, and the sound effects were reused.
Smith also shows/describes the painstaking restoration process for the old tapes.

I have a strong belief that the music of the Ramones is one of the best things you can listen to when washing dishes. I love a ton of their songs and go through phases, but this is my current 23-song Ramones dishwashing playlist for 2023.
