It's a subtle thing that few people will notice, but I've made progress correcting the #Aria structure of #LDJam's generated #HTML (#JSX).

If nothing else, the Aria accessibility guidelines are a fantastic resource for learning how to correctly structure your document, things like what should actually go inside the <body> (i.e. Landmarks), etc.

I am 100% onboard with explicit #ARIA usage being moved onto elements to become implicit. After all, that's how we've ended up with so many web pages that follow a reasonably logical structure of header with nav, main, and footer. But the way this new element is hoisted up as the primary focus in the #WebKit release notes, as though it will realistically solve any #accessibility problems when that particular browser stack is full of accessibility blockers, is a little bit obscene.

Absolutely nobody is blocked from accessing search features because a form has no landmark role around it. They're blocked by the use of inaccessible mark-up within the form, like unusable custom combo boxes and incorrectly nested filter controls. I'd love to see some solutions to those problems, rather than a new element which moves the needle on web #accessibility by precisely zero points.
