As the year is almost over I was thinking about all the #StarWars stuff that came out in 2023.
The "big" stuff like #TheMandalorian s3 and #Ahsoka stand out but they also kind of muddle the view. I didn't like both, they were meh-ok at best, a complete waste of time at worst.
BUT.
There was really good SW in 2023 as well:
#1 #JediSurvivor, great story and game!
#2 #StarWarsVisions s2, even better than s1, so creative and fun!
#3 #TheBadBatch s2, improving dramatically over s1.
Behind-the-scenes specials are neat and all, but can we get director/actors commentaries back, please??

Indeed, #TheCloneWars is a must watch for those who want to revisit the Star Wars prequel trilogy or want to watch (or have finished watching) the #Ahsoka series.
There are a ton of important character development in the show not just for Ahsoka and Anakin but also for Obi-Wan, Padme, Yoda, etc. Even the clones and droids. So you'll get to appreciate the characters more.

Oh, man, playing through Jedi: Fallen Order and Cere says Dathomir is home to “an ancient cabal of Force wielding witches”.
Excuse me, no. It’s been explained in the shows at great length witches do not have or use the Force. There was an entire arc where Mother Talzin tried to steal some Force energy and she said witches don’t even have Force.

In that way, #TheLastJedi was my favorite of the last trilogy, even though Johnson killed the first hero of my life: Luke Skywalker. Subverting expectations in some ways while emulating and honoring those who came before him (Kenobi, Yoda) in others.

I loved Chopper's "mom, mom, mom" moment with Hera. Chopper also gets incensed at the mention of R2-D2. And when Chopper pointedly "ignores" Hera & some guests, I had to control myself not to laugh out loud or shake the camera. I’ve just finished binge watching Star Wars – The Clone Wars. It took several days to watch everything and the final season was SO AMAZING that I watched it in a single run. It’s really great and it has so many important episodes. It was so good to see Ahsoka finally reuniting with Anakin at the end and so sad at the same time! Rebels still is my favorite, but I’m now very fond of the Clone Wars. #starwars #ahsoka #clonewars #anakin #spoilers
Early #Review #Ahsoka: It has absolutely gorgeous set designs and cinematography, and little else, like story or character depth. Whatever story it offers is ploddingly meh in its pretentiously posing tedium. It’s like they went for a Yorgos Lanthimos experience without any further idea why.
Although I’m only two episodes in so it could still get better, but with the tone they have set I have little such expectation. I don’t know if I have it in me to finish the show.
