So I decided to give my MacBook USB-C dongle that has an ethernet connection on it on try on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Plugged it in, it recognized the ethernet connection and man was it fast. LOL
This opens up whole new possibilities for the iPhone.

Now that #AllThingsTech is running Mastodon 4.2.0 I have also updated my Bird UI theme from @rolle to the latest version.
Glad to have that done as Mastodon looks very nice now, especially with the hashtags at the bottom of each post.
I'm very happy to announce that #AllThingsTech has now been upgraded to Mastodon 4.2.0 thanks to our awesome folks over at @mastohost

For me personally, I don't need nor want any of that drama related stuff, and I don't feel the users of #AllThingsTech deserve to have that kind of drama put onto them nor the instance itself. It causes too much stress for everyone, including others around the #Fediverse and I hate to say it, but I've got much more important things in life to do than to deal with those types of things.
I know I've not been a Mastodon instance admin as long as others, but I will tell you this with regards to #AllThingsTech
We will NOT import or use someone else's block list for any reason at all, EVER!
We feel it's best to do your own research, block/suspend/limit how WE feel is correct, based on reports from our users, or others.
Just because another instance defederates or whatever, doesn't mean everyone should or is required to do so.

What do people here like seeing for their local #allthingstech feed? Personally, I like to see whatโs new and interesting in the tech world with a splash of what IT & #Tech people are doing in their IT professions.
Currently, in my position, we are making it easier for translators to be available remotely for those who donโt speak English in a #hospital setting. I deal with the #Networking side mainly, making sure everything is always good to go.

We released an update to Nova Launcher Prime yesterday to the Play Store.
This update is only to target a newer API level so that users on newer versions of Android don't have issues not being able to purchase or install the app due to it targeting an older API.
This is a change that Google enforces and there are no other changes to the Nova Launcher Prime APK other than that.

Good to see this happening soon! I know it was mentioned when Threads launched, but now it seems they are closer to federating with Mastodon.
I know a lot of people block Meta and all of that stuff, which is totally up to them.
But I'll be happy to have this happen, and hopefully nothing crazy happens that #AllThingsTech ends up needing to block/defederate.
