#HTMX 気になってる。
雰囲気的には #AlpineJS みたいなものなのかな…

#RiotJS もインブラウザコンパイル版が便利だと思ってて、こういうシンプル回帰がそろそろ起こってほしい…

I do not know how well known #Rayapp, or short just #Ray, is outside the #Laravel community, but it has become my go-to tool for dumping and quick debugging while developing in #php, #AlpineJS, #yii, or #js.

It might not be free and 49 € a lot of money, but I am pretty sure I save one or more hours a year using it.

Thank you, #Spatie and @freekmurze for creating this mighty developer gem.

Small is Beautiful #27: End-to-end encrypted Kitten Chat

https://small-tech.org/videos/small-is-beautiful-27/

In this hour-and-a-half long live stream recording, I show you how WebSockets, project-specific secrets, authenticated routes, and public-key cryptography work in Kitten.

We also cover Kitten’s native support for htmx and Alpine.js.

@leobm I've been using a bit of #hyperscript and have used a tiny bit of #alpinejs as well. It seems _hyperscript integrates a bit better with htmx, but Alpine works as well.

@leobm Indeed! I'm still not decided on using #alpinejs or #hyperscript. Both very interesting!

My current stack for web apps:

#vitejs
#vuejs
#alpinejs
#tailwindcss
#django
#docker compose

Parts of it feel a bit retro but everything works together nicely, I can now spin up a new project in under 15min and updates in the browser feel instant.

@alexzeitler I had never seen Alpine.js but after reading your post I can't wait to get home to have a play with it. Your Tag Helper certainly improves its use for my server based work. #dotnet #blazor #alpinejs

My enjoyment of web coding has been increased 500% by using #TailwindCSS and #AlpineJS. Adding styling and interactivity has never been faster or easier.

I built this little app over the holidays, to solve a problem I have with finding my books, which are stored haphazardly in bookshelves around the house:

https://shelfy.tomd.org/

Please try it out and let me know what you think. It should also work for shelves of CDs, DVDs, spices, anything with text labels.

Tech is #django, #htmx, #alpinejs, #sqlite, #flyio, Google Cloud Vision AI. Also my first time using @aymericaugustin's excellent django-sesame, for 'magic link' auth, Slack/Monzo style.

for anyone that uses Alpine.js, i wrote a simple CodePen that demonstrates how to make multiple Alpine instances easily communicate with each other. https://codepen.io/bloqhead/details/wvxoJKQ #javascript #alpinejs

Yes, #htmx is a #JavaScript library but it shouldn't be. It should be part of the #HTML spec.

To come back to my initial post (I should've made this a blog post, but need to setup a new blog :-)): after almost 10 years I'm ready to refactor my webapp. I'll be replacing the frontend with plain #HTML, powered by #htmx. For some parts of interactivity I think I'll be using either #AlpineJS or #hyperscript. And to make it look pretty again this time I'll use #TailwindCSS which really surprised me.

Last year I learned about #htmx (https://htmx.org) and #AlpineJS (and #hyperscript). Here I was seeing stuff that looked like event handling attributes, just like good old onclick & family.

Wasn't this something we decided on not to do?

But reading into #htmx it made sense to me. In the author's and mine opinion it adds that what's been missing to the HTML spec. We've already got a client, the browser, so let it handle the rendering and performing requests.

@abishek_muthian currently there only 2 big player in no toolchain JS framework: #AlpineJS and #htmx. You might want to check those two.

https://alpinejs.dev
https://htmx.org

Perhaps the only real thing I dislike about working with #alpinejs—and sometimes #htmx—is the support of text editors and tools.

Certain times it is awful.

I mean, you can use #htmx alone, but with #alpinejs is so much better!

#AlpineJS, #htmx #Preact - all essentially led by one person, I believe.

Would #tauri be considered minimalist and led by a group?

If only there was a neat little template I could use that lets me quickly spin up a small site with Tailwind and some little build processes...

I think single-HTML-page tools with interactivity using #AlpineJS are truly my new favourite little projects.

Really enjoying hacking on WordlePress a bit this weekend.

Gradual improvements, and such fun to make.

Just need a designer!!

I've put together a front-end development "starter kit" for Hypermedia Driven Apps (HDAs). The kit allows you to use frameworks that emphasise the Locality of Behaviour (LoB) principle - #tailwindcss, #AlpineJS, #htmx + #vuejs SFCs - and comes with a simple demo site. I've been using variants of this for the last year, so this is my attempt to put it all together in one place as a reference for myself and anyone else who is interested in the "html-over-the-wire" thing.

Today's #projects post is about https://unicode.party, an "emoji search engine" I made years ago. ✨🔍

It's a single page with no back end. It started as an EmberJS app but now it uses #AlpineJS. 🕸️

@bmispelon has contributed to it quite a bit over the years. 💖

If you don't already have an #emoji search that you enjoy on all your devices (or if your device's search fails to find a match sometimes), try it out. 🔖

I wrote the frontend of an earlier iteration of my side project https://radiofeed.me in #react - the reason was I wanted to be able to play a podcast on the site and navigate around without having a page reload.

The current iteration uses #htmx and #alpinejs. With HTMX links just reload the main content of the page, while the audio player can run without being affected.

A far simpler architecture - plain #django templates with a small JS payload.

Ended up using both djhtml and djlint for #django templates. djhtml is a bit less drastic in its formatting (especially with #alpinejs attributes) but djlint does a great job with linting. Using both together in pre-commit setup I was able to tidy up a ton of templates and catch a few silly errors.

Dan Jacob

Just added djlint to project for pre-commit formatting/linting of #django templates.

Works well but one annoyance is that it breaks #alpinejs code, so you need lots of {# djlint:off #} comments in templates.

I totally forgot about the hashtags. My article on #minimalism in #development looks at #k3s and #k0s as examples of #minimal #kubernetes on the #backend

On the #frontend I looked at #preact #htmx and #AlpineJS as alternatives to #frameworks like #react and #Angular among others.

Well, this is a VERY prototypical experiment into "what can I do with just RSS and cross-posting?".

Posting doesn't work at all. Yet.

RSS only works if the feed doesn't have CORS protection (Mastodon feeds work fine).

Add some feeds to the settings and see what happens!

https://feed-me.veryuseful.app/

Built with #AlpineJS #JavaScript #RSS

Ross Wintle

Had to at least have a go at this. It's a start. Another fun little hour or so of code.

This is a simple "social" feed with #RSS. The idea is the box at the top lets you choose where to post to.

It's a single-page thing made with #javascript and #AlpineJS (of course!)

Some things don't actually work yet. And the big problem is CORS. If I defeat CORS I need to be REALLY HOT on sanitization!!

I suspect this is a DEEP rabbit hole.

#CodeOff competiton number 2 with the kid today (he's 10).

He's building in #Scratch (and has hindered himself by putting his own constraints in place, including using the pen only!)

I'm building in #JavaScript (with #AlpineJS.

His doesn't quite work yet. Will finish off tomorrow.

Mine (JS): https://code-off-snake.netlify.app/

Amazed what interactive stuff you can make in such a short time!

Working on legacy jQuery/Bootstrap + custom CSS project, I really dig the "locality" (if that's the right word) of #tailwindcss and #alpinejs when you need to maintain and understand the code.
