The number of #Americans I’m encountering moving from GOP controlled states to #Denmark lately is crazy. I’ve met more #doctors, #nurses and #engineers from the US in the last six months than I have in the previous 4 years. Most from #Texas, #Florida or #NorthCarolina.
These aren’t people I imagine any community is eager to lose and apparently the work visa process for medical folks is stupid easy. Flooding reported near historic Black town in Allensworth CA | The Fresno Bee
A historic region founded by #African-#Americans in the #San #Joaquin #Valley escaped damage from floodwaters released when a nearby creek bank was #breached Saturday, officials said.
Crews were working to stop flooding from Deer Creek near Road 88 just north of #Allensworth in southwestern #Tulare #County, according to Cal Fire spokesperson Jazz Shaw.
Shaw said residents in the area were under a #flood #warning and not an evacuation order as of 2 p.m. Saturday.
