Last night, it was raining in game on Moduland, so I was able to get this gorgeous shot outside of Kabuki's house.
Since he likes to have more traditional Japanese decorations in his home, I tried to do the same for his yard. I also gave him a tiny moat around the property, which I kind of like.

My plan for Animal Crossing went decently well. I placed all the objects which felt like they belonged in a graveyard. The finalizing the layout will be work for tomorrow as for fear of being sucked in, I paused my creative endeavor. I didn't start that Plantation area as graveyard work took up a lot of my time. Purchased a moving kit so that my house can be moved to the plantation area, which will feature a sketchy science lab. #AnimalCrossing #ACNH
Animal Crossing goals for today:
1. Create a plantation style farm area for my home.
2. Summon Zucker using the power of Amiibo, craft a gift for said Octopus.
3. Gather enough stone to complete my Orchard Graveyard. Also enough seasonal blooming bushes to make it pretty all year round. Planted in a way to act as a blooming seasonal tracker.
I feel these goals are easy enough to accomplish before work today.

I didn't get too much stuff done in Animal Crossing today...Just cleared one mountain of all flowers. I got Hello Kitty furniture, and did my Day 1 Island Souvenir for Sasha. I mentioned yesterday that there were Villagers who are on the "Moving Out Soon" list. My top three picks of evictions are: Velma, Margie, and Bianca. They sadly don't fit my requirements a All Boys Island with a Creepy Cute theme. Amiibo Cards are such a blessing for this purpose, since I can invite all the male villagers. As I work on my Island, I'll invite a chosen villager to the Campsite for the immigration process to begin.

When I completed the musuem in ACNH I decided to have a go at painting my favourite place in the game; the butterfly house.
At A3 it's the biggest piece I've ever attempted and I made a lot of mistakes along the way, not least the broken perspective on the floor tiling (but I wasn't redoing the whole thing at that point!).
I learned a lot as I did it and ultimately I think it came out alright even with the errors.

I feel like Nintendo dropped the ball on additional things like an inventory that was too small. Items that I felt should have a larger stack size did not. Compounding the limited inventory issue. I always feel tools shouldn't take an inventory slot, equipping them in an equipment menu would be amazing. In future games, I'd like to see the diving suit have its own slot for seamless land to ocean transition. #AnimalCrossing

1. With a smartphone centric game like New Horizons, it's surprising NFC payments weren't a thing. It would be easier than having to carry bells around with us. We could break out our phones and use Bello for any purchases.
2. Mass Crafting, I can't stress this enough. It's exhausting to repeatedly craft one of something over and over again. All player friendly games have this as an option. Bonus points for taking resources out of our home if we craft inside.

Since Agnes moved in, we have done a big renovation of the farm. We moved the small orchard up to the farm, too, which works well in the area.
With such a big farm, Raymond's home was moved south so that he could help Agnes out. He is very good with the books, so it's a solid arrangement for them.

In the past, I had made some faux buildings on my island. The top is intended to look like the Temple of Time from #TheLegendOfZelda: #OcarinaOfTime. The bottom is meant to look like a 2 story skii chalet.
I think both came out well, but neither really fit the motif of my island these days.

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, once you've bought a painting, there's an easy way to tell if nearly all of them are real. Set the painting down with its back facing the camera. All of the real paintings (except the Wild Painting Left and Right halves, I think) have a sheet of paper taped to their backs.
* Sculptures don't have this.
* The fake Academic Painting has a key taped to its back for some reason.

I got a new switch and thus a new island in #ACNH. The entire purpose of this is to have better multiplayer within the family (not playing on the same console) but it has the added benefit of getting to do the early game again. I remember it as being really fun. And now all the things that had slow rollout on release day will be available as they're unlocked 😊.

So I randomly remembered that Pocket Camp is a thing and started playing it again and, well, one thing led to another and now I’ve gone and restarted my ACNH island. Thrice. Because I had to get the plane and airport in the right colour.
