Zum Fensterfreitag das Treppenhaus eines Umspannwerkes in Frankfurt. Erbaut wurde es vor fast 100 Jahren. Architekt war Max Ludwig Cetto, der später als Begründer des Modernen Bauens in Mexiko bekannt wurde. Vor 8 Jahren wurde das Gebäude im Stile Mondrians illuminiert; seit der Energiekrise ist die Illumination ausgeschaltet.

New #buildings , #building extensions, paintwork, facades, shop windows, even new public benches and other street furniture is often in one shade of grey, at least here in the Netherlands (the photo was taken near me). Here's a shot of a gorgeous piece of architectural design by the great Antoni Gaudi in Park Guell, #Barcelona . The round ceiling mosaic ornament is made of colorful ceramic tile shards and is one of many #Gaudi gems I've discovered in #Spain a while back.
