So... my black paper did not survive the fibre-tip pens. This means my art book definitely won't survive them.
I don't know how I feel about using my canvas paper art pad for anything but paint. Plus it's atop the book case and I'm too fatigued to stand up.
Now I'm drawing simple flowers and leaves in my art pad using gel pens. I love them, but they run out so quickly. 24 different colours and I'm about to kill the dark green pen lol

Very curious as to what precisely I can get away with on insta. So far I've been surprised at what it's allowed me to post and what it hasn't, seems completely random and arbitrary at times. Like, I assume if I put strips of duct tape over my junk and nipples, they wouldn't allow that. But if I constructed an entire bikini out of duct tape, maybe they would? The #Rone art exhibition at #FlinderStreetStation #melbourne #Australia was amazing.
This is 1 of 11 rooms that was on display, titled; “The Art Room”.
This room in the main was dark - the lighting did change ever so slightly (brighter) but was designed to highlight the candid-melancholy of the subject (I believe).
I loved the props, music and of course the poignant candid (natural) appearance of the young women making their way in their new world in #melbourne #Australia back in the day.

Today’s art: Work in progress. An oil underpainting using the Zorn palette plus Prussian blue, because the beautiful reference photo has a background based on Prussian blue and a green based on Prussian blue easily mixed using yellow ochre, ivory black, and titanium white. ![In between Hyde Park and The Dorchester Hotel along London’s Park Lane, locals and tourists alike are being captivated daily by Lorenzo Quinn’s massive public sculpture, entitled Harmony. This installation deconstructs the recognizable symbol of the Yin and Yang, by creating a physical gap between the two pieces and placing two aluminum figures in the opposing slopes of each side. The male figure sitting in the lower nook of the brushed aluminum Yang stares deeply into a polished chrome sphere, while the female figure seated in the upper recess of the Yin symbol replicates this gesture with a distressed sphere. Each of these orbs seem to be the perfect size to fit into the hollow hole in each side of the symbol, implying that “each person fills a space that the other was missing and therefore complet[es] his companion. Skibbereen. Your evening #painting today is from the southwest of #Ireland, and a town in west Cork. I'd cycled this street a few times before out the town a short distance I found an old converted mill to stay, but it was when I cycled back in the next day and stood by a van waiting for chips that I looked at the street and said yes, I will paint this. #Art #Cycling

The eroded sandstone wall of Geikie gorge on the Fitzroy river, Western Australia. This picture was taken in the dry season, when the scoured, more heavily eroded rock is exposed. The high-water mark on the gorge wall in the following picture shows the huge difference in river height between wet and dry seasons, and the reason the stone is so deeply eroded.
