Well. I was aiming for knocking one (1) of my tasks off of my #Mercantile “Next Demo Milestone” list. Instead, I managed to do 2 (and a half)! Feels good.

I also have tested and compared the sRGB -> 256 colour conversion process between #Aseprite, #Photoshop, and #GIMP. Sadly, Photoshop was the clear winner here. The dithering was a notch above, giving much cleaner results. Guess I’ll have to use that from now on.

The second screen is underway!
Visibility borders over land will be a bit tricky to design, and I still don't know what to place around this lighthouse (or how to break the uniformity of the current lit/unlit ocean zones with nice patterns), but it doesn't look very bad at least.

The ekranoplan is changing its course, which still predict a crash in the Aleutians, but one turn later. On the west is a slow pirate steamship, and on the southeast is a submarine who spotted a merchant ship nearby, and a floating mine.
