@markx this is actually a fascinating insight into the challenges of unstructured data collation and cleansing out data quality issues (consistency, completeness, etc.), told via a fun scenario rather than say, hm, IT utilisation accounting (just a random example there, not my life at all) - thanks for this! #DataQuality #BBCArchive

This is worth a watch, it had a everything I could ask for... Scenery, cows, prices I didn't understand and a Triumph Spitfire.
Fair to say a lot has changed on the roads of #Ireland since this was made.

From the BBC Archive a clip from 1967 Tommorow's World The SELF-DRIVING CAR of TOMORROW!
Ah the good Captain. Went to the big record fair at the Royal horticultural halls back in the 90s & his good self was there, fluffy coat & red beret. Remember the tannoy paged him with "would The Captain please come to reception.." #CaptainSensible #80s #Memories #BBCArchive

On the greats in special effects for movies was Ray Harryhausen. This YouTube video is a short interview with him that the BBC did back in 1981. I share it because I found it interesting, so there may be other who do.

Wow - BBC archive of programmes related to electronic music.
This is wonderfully daft. I admit I laughed out loud. What happened to our affinity for eccentrics?

Was online circa 1994. Remember trying to watch streams of Bowie recording his 1.Outside album but frustrated by animal, mineral, vegetable compression, poor frame rates & buffering. I thought the Internet would bring the world together. Yeah I know. What a dreamer. Still you gotta have hope. Or is it hoops? I always get those mixed up. #BBCArchive #History #Internet #1995 #UK
