@markx this is actually a fascinating insight into the challenges of unstructured data collation and cleansing out data quality issues (consistency, completeness, etc.), told via a fun scenario rather than say, hm, IT utilisation accounting (just a random example there, not my life at all) - thanks for this! #DataQuality #BBCArchive

On the left a scan of the Radio Times entry for PlayDays in the mid morning BBC One schedule from Jan 1991. Gordon the Gopher is poking his fluffy head up at the bottom of the excerpt. The Playbus stops today at the Patch stop, if interested. On the right is the BBC Genome entry for the same online, seemingly translated successfully by the OCR automation.

On the greats in special effects for movies was Ray Harryhausen. This YouTube video is a short interview with him that the BBC did back in 1981. I share it because I found it interesting, so there may be other who do.
