@timkmak I happen to agree with Mr. Aslund. #Europe seems more committed to #Ukraine's victory now than the #USA does. We can't even pass a budget, let alone approve aid for another country at the moment.
Between #Germany doubling their aid to Ukraine, the new #UK foreign minister #Cameron talking about "until victory," and the #Baltic & #Nordic countries just continuing to be badass, Europeans like #Aslund understand what's at stake. Very disappointed in Mr. Haas's proposal.

Luckily @vaviurka's cake finished baking just as the power went out. It's been on and off since, hopefully back on for good now.
We went for a walk around town, but stayed away from the forest, which was blocked by a fallen tree anyways.
Seems the power company (ESO) has their hands full with clearing fallen trees and reconnecting overland lines.
