Little Miss Josie (94#) *was* scheduled for spay next Monday. But an early heat cycle has now delayed surgery till November.

We waited till she was over two years old for two reasons; the Orthopedic Foundation of America will not evaluate the joints till after 2 years of age, and some large (or giant) breeds have better long term joint health if spay/neuter is delayed until their long bones have completed growing.

She's happy, nevertheless. 😊
