It's a fairly obligatory shot, I know, but this landmark has my heart and I photograph it with abandon whenever I visit London! ❤️

Took this photo from the London Eye in 2004. It was my first trip abroad. I was still grieving the loss of my mother and #London wasn't really vibing with me. I did have one enjoyable day when my uncle, who was a former history lecturer and a local, took me to museums and gave me a tour around the city. Even treated me to a lovely lunch. I never had the chance to see him again since. He passed away in 2021. I'll always cherish that day.

They're the best every year.

When my kids were little and couldn't make it to midnight EST, I'd get the BBC on the internet at our 7pm. Now they're adults but we never miss it.

Big Ben and 15 minutes of fireworks, always with an amazing creative theme.

The bank of the River Thames seems a far superior place to celebrate the New Year than Times Square is or will ever will be. Someday I'll get there.
