Wow, When did #Google image search start to suck ass? Instead of results matching the image, I got shopping results matching what the woman in the image was wearing. It even highlighted a box on the image emphasizing her dress. When I expanded the box to include the whole image, there were no matches!
#Bing image search produced a whole series of images very similar to mine and no shopping results.

Bing seems to have a new feature on their video SERPs: upon hovering over one result, it offers a link ("More like this") to a specialized result page.
If it is a video from a YouTube channel, it also offers a link to a page, where more videos from that channel are displayed.
On this new page more videos from said channel are shown plus some basic key facts and a button to "Sign in to Follow".
Promising competitor? It was just a #Bing clone, based on all my tests.

• If #Edge’s sidebar appears, click the ⋮ button there
• Otherwise open Settings (⌘, on Mac or click ⋯ then Settings in the toolbar), then Sidebar on the left, “Discover” under the “App and notification settings” heading
• Turn off the switch next to “Show Discover”
The button will disappear from the toolbar and you never again have to worry about its sidebar popping out when you hover over it

It seems that on of #ChatGPT’s biggest issues dealing with seemingly inconsistent data that are only resolved if you take time and context into account.
I notice this when getting advice on Microsoft product features (that changed over time and work differently on Windows and Mac):
- If a feature got removed by MS, Bing will happily tell me it’s there.
- If a feature is well explained on windows but doesn’t work on a mac it will happily tell me about it.

Recently, I discovered an #app, Perplexity, which also cites sources & is superior to #Siri as a way to surf the Net/ research tool.
