Today my daughter's school had to evacuate because the police were told there was an "active shooter." I wrote about this in terms of my addiction to #whiteness and becoming fully human. Knowing that parents of children who are Black (often) have to have “the talk“ with their children, and how infuriating enraging how brutal that is.
And addressed to the EU Commission: "The EU must suspend all negotiations and financial payments to Tunisia until the displacements stop, the crimes against humanity are prosecuted and safe entry conditions to Europe have actually been created".

The outrage helped mobilize support for the Civil Rights movement. By 1965, the FBI knew who the perpetrators were. However, no prosecutions occurred until 1977. Others weren’t convicted until 2001-2002.
