Every Year Snow geese migrate to the Skagit Valley from late fall to early Spring. The flocks are huge and quite impressive when they take off and land. This image is from a large flock taking off after a bald eagle started circling above.

Snoqualmie Falls is Washingtons most popular waterfall. Video of the falls were used in the opening credits of the 90's tv show, Twin Peaks. This is a vantage point that is no longer accessible . A new boardwalk along the river was built but limits people from getting too close.

While in Grand Teton National Park I found myself distracted by a small herd of bison. As I was talking all kinds of pictures I worked on trying to capture a portrait of one of them. It ended up being a lot harder than I thought. I processed it in Black and white because I feel it brought out more of the details and the character of the animal.

While my wife was catching up on sleep during our trip to London, I used the time to visit nearby Regent's Park. It was winter and foggy but I was still able to explore and capture a few images. I was really impressed with the park and want to come back when all the gardens are in bloom.

Palouse fall is beautiful and impressive any time of the year. In winter when the temps get down to zero it takes on a little different look. The ice that forms all around the falls gives it a temporary face lift.

I didn't have to much work with as far as color for this image so I processed it as black and white and really liked how it turned out. It reminds me of scene one might see in a scary/haunted movie. The Lighthouse is located just north of Newport Oregon.

I have really grown to love black and white images.While I do like a colorful sunset or a vivid landscape B&W strips away all the distractions and shows the depth of the photo.

This is an image from Yellowstone in early morning. Geo thermal water and cold temps create a fog that freezes to the vegetation and filters the sun creating long shadows with lots of texture.
