Still advocating that we also think about our insects, my personal "bias" would be wild honey bees (specifically Apis dorsata), which accompanied me throughout my PhD.

Happy 50th to CITES as well. Here's hoping there would no longer be a need for Appendix I (or any Appendix for that matter) in the next 50 years.
