Genuinely thought we'd equalised right at the end there, but fair play to the keeper, that was a quality save.

We contained France, and if not for a defensive error we'd likely have got a point from the game.

Wasn't happy with the refereeing (it didn't affect the outcome but was pretty poor).

There's an inconsistency to Ireland though. Having raised our game against France I half-expect us to grind out a draw against Gibraltar!

Halftime, Ireland 0 - 0 France. Given the gulf between the teams (on paper at least) I think we can be happy enough with that. We've not been outplayed and although we've not looked like scoring, neither have France.

In fairness, the French seem like they could shift up another few gears and I'm not sure the same can be said about Ireland, so I wouldn't say I'm confident we'll get anything out of this match by the end of 90 minutes. But we can hope!
