Ange Postecoglou is not that bad like some people think. I ask serious journalist and read couple of articles and think he's good coach.
But coach is not problem in Spurs. Will he have players capable of playing possession based attacking football from back line ? Will Daniel Levy back the man ? How will he work under Daniel ? Those are concerns.
That disturbing interview of Tim Sherwood about how Levy called him to ask why is Kane playing instead of Soldado who was payed 28/29 millions are for big concern.
Good idea is to sack Levy and put someone else in chairman position and to add couple of ex players and managers who know football in that board full of accountants. I want to see names like Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle, Teddy Sheringham there with voting rights. Let someone who knows football in that board!
Ange (Postecoglou) is a legend. Wherever he worked progress was huge. Very ambitious, not afraid of the challenge. Question is how would he work with DL ?

Respect to Mason for sitting on the bench and face tough schedule like Man United, Liverpool, Aston Villa... Conte lost to all of them while in charge too. Only bad unacceptable result was vs Brentford 1:3. Conte did 2:2 vs them, while Mason did 2:2 vs Man United. He's not that bad like some people think.
Let's hope board and chairman will do right things during summer bring long term excellent manager, convince Harry Kane to stay and sign new contract and reinforce the squad.

@FabrizioRomano I hope we hang onto him this summer. No fee we get for him will be enough to replace what he brings us, and - with the right manager and the right signings - we may get to the end of next season in a position where he's willing to stay on.
If we've not improved by then, he can move on a free -- with the blessing of pretty much every Spurs fan I imagine.
But I'd want us to at least give it one more year and try to create a situation where he's happy to stay. #COYS #THFC

There is one name which could return me on board in Tottenham. It's Marcelo Gallardo. I think he can be what we want - Poch 2.0. Attacking possession based football, loves technical players etc.. Give him long term contract like 5 years and start rebuild by bringing players he wants and need for his style of football! Do the right thing Daniel!
About winger Solomon, I think he'll be good Premier League player. He's young, free and seems to have big pace, good skill and ability to shot and pass. I know DoF and manager should decide about new players, but can't see any possibility for making mistake with Israeli internation.

We lost the game, started it very poor, but then put them under such pressure. To show up at Anfield with decimated squad against full strength Liverpool without only Keita, to score 3 goals, hit 2 posts, have more chances, not given penalty, not given red card to them, to put them in "save who is alive" mode like that. That was awesome. Our complete action on first goal was awesome.
You can lose, but this non deserved loss is for applauds. Well done Tottenham!
We need better defenders than Dier, Davies, Lenglet, Sanchez. I hope non competent board will address this problem this summer. Normal GK CCB, LCB, playmaker are must. Whoever holds keys of safe (Joe Lewis or Daniel Levy) should be ready to unlock it or to sell club to other owners.

I'll always prefer a match where all 11 players work hard as a team than a match where one or two standouts drag the team to a win. To my eye, this win was a great team win. I hope it brings some confidence for the rest of the season despite all the recent injury setbacks.

While we're comparing players, let's look at Porro vs the Mighty, still-gutted-we-sold-him, Trippier. Porro is still young, but unproven in EPL and has a long way to go to be world class.
If only we still had Trip. Currently best player in the Premier League (based on performances), he is the quintessential Conte player. Clever, a leader, a fighter, experienced, a winner, solid in defence and effective in attack. Plus he knows the our forwards. What could have been, eh?
Hmm. Not exactly an awe inspiring signature. He looks very similar to Bergwijn. Slightly worse, if anything. In graph below, Danjuma is green, Stevie blue.
Compare to Son (blue) who is significantly superior in every aspect.
Don't get your hopes up folks - he's a squad player, not a difference maker.
But at least he appears better on paper than Zaniolo (who was perhaps a diversion?).
