Went to bed very late, so I’m only just getting up. A momentous #caturday !! We tried Kitty Boy (aka Atlas) on the leash outside for the first time since becoming an #IndoorCat in 2021. We had put the harness on him inside a few times in the house (with lots of treats) and he wasn’t very impressed, but when we went outside with it on, the urge to explore outweighed the annoyance! 30min of sun, fresh air and sniffing. If we want two cats, we often adopt two littermates at a young age. This can be a fine strategy, since we have the advantage of them being used to each other from the beginning.
However, without some attention to kitten personality clues and Cat Type indicators, it can backfire. Since a litter of kittens can have different fathers, the littermates can grow up to be very different personalities. It's rare for them to utterly dislike each other, but it's no real guarantee they will be actual friends.

What about cats with extra strikes against them? They can do fine, too.
