Something a little different. Here's a lacquered dish from China showing two boys playing. I think they're pretending to be soldiers; one is beating a drum while the other rides a hobbyhorse, which was actually invented in China.

I just realised there's 20yrs between these two pieces. To the left is a poster with a panoramic view over the Forbidden City in Beijing. I bought it on site 1998. To the right is a battered silk painting a friend of my parents bought in China 1978. (Yes, I need to give the painting a better home. I framed it when I was ten, so it's not the best casing. OTH the frame probably protected it through several chaotic moves.)

Hello,
I like to introduce myself.
I’m a German artist and painter. I used to paint in oil but I had the opportunity to live a few years in China and used the time to study Chines art by an old Chinese master. Therefor my focus is now on traditional Chinese painting.
I love to share my art and also see yours.
