From reading news reports about clergy being arrested, it seems that proud Christians are the least successful people in the history of the world.
Many #Christians do often miss the woods for the trees, especially on these issues. I have a theory that every community in every generation has certain "red-lines-that-shall-not-be-crossed" until they are changed by the next generation.
I've always thought that if you are in a community where you don't feel challenged, then you are in the wrong faith community!

Just found out that the Southern Baptist Convention has not just removed Rick Warren's Saddleback church and has knuckled down on forbidding women from being pastors.
I never really understood their vehemence against women pastors. Just glad I am not emeshed in church culture.

I see this a lot with some #Christians, they say something along the lines of being protective of #Jews and it comes off as incredibly demeaning. They think they’re offering support but when one delves deeper into their reasons, it often veers into #antisemitism, and the necessity for Jews to hold #Israel for the second coming to occur.
