So the Chrome os Terminal app, where you interact with Crostini and such, got a big accessibility face lift recently! Now, while you type, ChromeVox isn't repeating every l e t t e r you type. Also, the terminal output is separated out into one element per line which you can just navigate like regular items. And clicking on a line puts you directly back into the text box to type another command. And yes, output is read automatically.

I've just put #ChromeOS Flex onto an oldish (but modern) laptop. 8th Gen i5, 8Gb of RAM, SSD. This thing absolutely flies.
It's making me begrudge the fact that all the budget #Chromebooks I've bought in the past have felt a little laggy and I've just sort of put up with it. As if I was the one trying to push the Chromebook by having 10 tabs open at once.
Battery life is poor though, comparatively. Swings and roundabouts, I guess...

When I open Google apps (Gmail, Chat, Drive, etc) they first open in my personal account, and I have to switch to my work account.

@slightlyoff Yep. On #linux and #chromeos. Cookies are gone randomly (even if set with looong expiration) and database (indexeddb) are lost as well. Sometimes it happens after a few days, sometimes after a few hours. I use indexeddb quite a lot to store data and even some script modules and it sucks when it has to download them again. That's how I notice. And when I am thrown out of the app because the cookie got lost.

@matthewhowell @reidrac Yeah, same here, but I have to admit that the PWA approach from @slightlyoff / Chrome and #ProjectFugu driven by eg @tomayac @kennethrohde makes a lot more sense to me than the zipped up approach of Firefox OS ever did.
To me #ChromeOS is much more the kind of OS that I wished for than what #FirefoxOS ever was.
Too bad Chrome OS is only for computers and tablets + not even sure Google intends it for tablets anymore considering the upcoming Pixel tablet will run Android.

The fact that #Figma has keyboard controls specifically for #chromeOS is yet another part of what makes this tool so great. It's the little things that matter. 😊
For context: alt + left click opens the context menu on Chrome OS, so things like resizing from centre and drag to duplicate won't work in most tools. Figma smartly remaps those actions to the search-key instead. 👌

I love my ASUS Chromebox 3 with 16 GB RAM and I'd like an upgrade but the successor, released in 2022, is limited to 8 GB. So I'm keeping tabs on the newly announced Acer Chromebox CXI5 which supports up to 16 GB RAM. Now we're talking.

Its not perfect, but its clearly powerful enough, manageable and efficient to get the job done.
