Henry: What were you thinking showering BEFORE playing w/us? Lady. You are meant to play while you eat, then feed us, then bathe, then take us outside or (if weather isn’t suitable) sit on the hearth and play/cuddle while you drink your 2nd cup of tea.

Me: I know Sweetie. We’re off script. At least it’s for a GOOD reason (saving other cats) and not for some dumbass man! 🤣

We got a few minutes of weak sunshine today. Not warm enough to set up the comfy chair but Studly and Henry didn’t seem to mind.

And. You know what’s fun? Watching bubbles float away on the breeze. We don’t have bubbles but watching handfuls of Henry’s winter coat float away is satisfying, too.

We’re fortunate in that it’s not snowing and we have power. However, I refuse pay to heat the whole house (well, not above a “don’t let the pipes freeze” bare minimum) and keep most windows covered to reduce heat loss. So. These two have set aside their differences to join me in the warmer bedroom where the windows are uncovered to let in the sun.
