Raise awareness and knowledge of LC among the school community (staff and CYP)

Communicate regularly with CYP with LC about how they are coping with school alongside their illness

Offer a range of adaptations which can be tailored to the individual and changing needs of CYP with LC. For example:

Reduced timetables and/or prioritisation of fewer subjects.

Rest/’time-out’ passes.

Allow the use of lifts and other means of alleviating the physical impacts of moving around school buildings.

Consider the use of appropriate technology (eg, artificial intelligence-based robots) to facilitate engagement with school.

Ensure school staff are advised of CYP who have LC and are aware of the adaptations available to them.

Consult school staff on their experiences of supporting CYP with LC and what they need to facilitate positive engagement with this group of pupils.

Results
We included 106 012 infected cases and 1 684 085 test-negative controls. Compared with the control group, individuals with COVID-19 exhibited increased risk (HR, 1.157 [1.069–1.252]) and excess burden (EB, 0.70 [.53–.88]) of new-incident cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications. Risks decreased in a graded fashion for fully vaccinated (HR, 1.11 [1.02–1.22]) and boosted (HR, 1.10 [.92–1.32]) individuals. Conversely, risks and burdens of subsequent cardiovascular/cerebrovascular complications increased for hospitalized and severe COVID-19 cases (compared to nonhospitalized cases).

Conclusions
Increased risks and excess burdens of new-incident cardiovascular/cerebrovascular complications were reported among infected individuals; risks can be attenuated with vaccination and boosting.

I got excited yesterday when the Alltid Öppet app (Stockholm healthcare app) said I could now get a COVID-19 vaccine booster. I was not expecting to be eligible again until November.

Sadly, my vårdcentral said this morning it still only has the older bivalent vaccine.

The newest Omicron-adapted vaccine is not expected to be available in Sverige until November.

So, one of my favourite #conferences is happening in two weeks. The program looks fantastic. There is also an #accessibility FAQ page. Nice!

Except... does the page mention #covid? No. Maybe the "hybrid experience" page mentions #covid19? No. Nothing on any 'attend' page mentions anything pandemic. You can assure yourself that the venue is non-smoking, but the word "mask" is absent. 🤷‍♂️ This is what collective denial looks like.

There is ample evidence that N95 masks are better than surgical masks. Fitted N95s filter 95% of the viral particles, but even a loose-fitting N95 can filter 57% to 86% of the particles. KN95 or KF 94 masks also offer high protection and can be improved with a simple strap to help them fit more securely. Elastomeric half-mask respirators are equally effective to N95s and are reusable.

Surgical masks (aka “baggy blues”) are too loose fitting and only filter 47%–50% of particles. If you need to wear a surgical mask, you can make it much more protective with a mask brace to help it fit more tightly.

I was unclear on website mention about "access" to RAT kits at community health locations meant. Will they give me a kit or just do a test on me there?

RATs are hard to find, and our boxes from last year are almost depleted.

So I called, and they don't have RAT kits at community health sites now, they've been moved to _library_ branches. Website is out of date. FYI
