PS for those who #CrossStitch, I’m using 3 strands because I find that 2 leaves gaps. Is that normal or do I have a tension issue? DMC floss.

Bowser done, aka best character. With this, the main body is complete, and I've got a stoplight with two Lakitus up top and a line of power-ups on the bottom. Hopefully, I will finish this one in the middle of October.
I bought a bunch of #CrossStitch patterns off Etsy last night with the notion of making a gallery wall. Problem is that they all would do best on black aida... and I don't have any of that.
So... do I remain patient and wait to go to Spotlight to get some black aida, or do I commit to the lunacy of stitching black stitches for the backgrounds?
I wanted to make a funny #CrossStitch for a #teacher friend, and found this pattern on etsy. It was to large so I had to redesign it completely to fit the small hoop. I bought the pattern nonetheless, it would have felt wrong not to do it. ✌🏻

A little over a year ago I saw a time-lapse of this scene and thought it was the coolest thing. After watching that time-laspe about twenty times, I took up cross stitch to eventually do this exact project for myself. This is also the first project I've simply done for myself as well funnily enough.
Almost done with this one… trying to decide if I want to add the yes/no wording from the pattern or just add more stars?

j'ai mis un bout de tissus dans le dos et tout coupé a la forme exacte du trou puis tout refermé ^^
si je veux qu'il tienne vraiment dans le temps il faudrait une je fasse un joint en epoxi sur le clapet, là il risque de se rouvrir tout seul

c'est un petit dauphin qui sera "serti" dans un porte clef transparent en plastique une fois que j'aurais décidé comment faire ^^

comme j'ai utilisé les fils en entier au lieu de les diviser en 3 je n'ai pas assez de jaune foncé pour terminer la queue du coq et les contours des poussins de droite, faut que j'aille en acheter, de la bonne couleur (j'en ai mais un poil trop clair, je vais essayer d'avoir pile la bonne ^^)
reste plus qu'à laver et encadrer ^^

je regardais vaguement intéressé parce-que j'ai pas de problème de projets a terminer qui trainent et puis je me suis souvenu les kits de point de croix que ma grand mère m'a acheté quand j'étais petit ^^
on termine donc l'alphabet basse cour dans le style de l'époque c'est-à-dire avec 6 brins et pas 2 par aiguillé et les points dans n'importe quel sens ^^ (j'étais pas trop sur la lecture des instructions a l'époque j'ai l'impression ^^')

It's starting to cool down, and that always makes me feel like curling up with a great audiobook or a podcast, so in the evening I've been listening to Dungeons & Daddies (D&D Podcast) and getting some cross stitching done!

I've got some actual progress for #WIPWednesday this week. In TWO crafts!
The world map is a long-running project that I once thought would only take a week. Was inspired to pick it back up just last night due to the Autumn colours, love it!
And the green jumper is one of my #FallFinishAlong goals, got one sleeve finished last week and just most of the second one to go! Ten whole days left to do it in, of course. But ack, sleeves.
I had someone on another social media site ask to see my back so I figured it'd be worth sharing here as well.
My #WIPWednesday is more progress on the #HAED. Got through a hell section (do not put down metallic floss before you're done with the rest surrounding it...) And super close to completing a part that will put me where I want to be with this pattern!

This is my first large project and I'm exceptionally pleased with how it turned out. After 9 months of working on it, whether at work or at home, it's weird to not see a large project in progress on my desk.
Definitely hammered home how great pin stitches are and the past two nights made me wish I'd done my grid with a monofilament thread.

Gold plated needles don't rust, and don't pick up discolouration from your fingers while stitching. They're also easier to see if you drop them. #crossstitch

And here's August! I appreciated the variety relative to the last two months, even if it was still alternating between the same two colors.
