🇨🇿 🇺🇦 The #Czech Republic has signed a letter of intent with #Denmark and the #Netherlands on financial support for deliveries of Czech weapons to #Ukraine, the country's Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry said it will help cover supplies of additional tanks, howitzers, small arms, air defence capacities and forms of electronic warfare or ammunition.

🇷🇺 🇨🇿 Russian crude accounted for a bigger slice of the #Czech Republic's oil imports in the first half, state oil pipeline operator MERO said on Monday, despite the country's plan to wean itself off #Russian supply.

Obnosov, a declared Putin's "patriot", created his safety net in the same way as most wealthy Russian businesspeople do — earning money in Russia and investing it in EU in order to secure their wealth from racket and political instability they know best, because they watch it from inside.
This doesn't apply only to businesspeople, plenty of Russian politicians — including SVR director Naryshkin and until recently Putin, Peskov and Lavrov — send their relatives to study and live abroad, mostly to EU, UK or USA. As the war started in 2014, Putin and Lavrov must have had a lot of arguments with their daughters to persuade them to return to Russia, as them staying in the "unfriendly countries" was already laughed at even in Russia, but in the first place it created a dangerous leverage. Pesko's daughter lived in France all the time until the 2022 invasion.
And that was entirely rational, because the fundamental value of Russian elites is their self-distinction front the mob. The mob is expected to believe all the nonsense about Russia being "defender of conservative values" and "leader of the multipolar world". But the top tier knows it's all about enjoying access to resources undisturbed by boring Western inventions such as law and rules, while also enjoying the safety and actual stability provided by the latter once you accumulated enough.

On a historic note, #USSR #Russia organised sabotage, mass protests and assassinations in interwar #Poland through the whole 1920-1930’s. One of the largest was 13 October 1923 bombing at the Warsaw Citatel (28 killed, 89 wounded) which was very similar to the 2014 GRU Vrbětice bombing in #Czechia, with the exception that the Citatel was in the center of Polish capital.[^2]
Soviet Union also created and maintained terrorist networks in Western Europe, most notably RAF (Baader–Meinhof Group ), who crossed into communist East Germany and Poland to recover and hide after successful attacks in Germany. KGB also supervised and supported PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization), Abu Nidal organisation (who had a regular office in communist Poland) and a dozen of other terrorist organisations in Arab and Latin America countries.[^3]

The tour is a bit corny for those who know a decent amount about brewing / PU -- if not, maybe pick-up @akrennmair 's books for some context -- but it's really worth it to visit the cellars.
I had the unfiltered barrel beer. It truly has its own character / element; Perhaps more like Budvar than PU. With the amount they have, I wish they offered more.

I've had a copious amount of Pilsner Urquell on draft. Now I've finally had Budvar on Lukr side-pour draft.
A dream come true. Although, I can see why the Czechs much prefer the crisp bitter bite of PU. Maybe a bit of a more professional pour would've made the difference.
Budvar is still my favourite lager in the world. But Augustiner made a great run of it. Wish I could get it....

And it just feels weird to watch this. Especially news media should use their own instances in the Fediverse because the press should be independent and free. Here in 🇨🇿 #Czechia we have a mainstream radio broadcast (Rozhlas) and they started using their own Mastodon instance, but for some reason only few reporters use it and the main news site still promotes Twitter posts heavily 😒
