Why would you think it would matter?
No one cares what you do while waiting at DMV, as long as you don't cause a disturbance.
DMV is like jail. People there only care about getting out of there as soon as possible.
FWIW, whenever I go to the DMV, I always bring my ear buds to listen to music and a book to read while waiting.
No one cares about that and no one will care if you're knitting UNLESS you put your knitting bag on the seat next to you preventing someone standing from using it.
Then tempers will flare!!! And a distubance could ensue.

My feed only has a whiff of place because it is *IMPOSSIBLE* to find accounts by account holders city. @JamesGleick , I live in #MoCo, adjacent to DC. I get my transportation updates via text, plain ol' SMS. My county will drift along with Twitter unless dropping it is made a political issue. I can see Metro making a move to Mastodon, but it would need to come from some clever IT person or marketing person inside the organization. I can't see lobbying Metro would work.
