Yesterday the propagation was on my side and I managed to have a #FT8 QSO with #3D2AG from #Fiji island on 15m band.

This is one of my longest QSOs with distance of 14421km. This was accomplished with Yaesu #FT891 running 30W to 80m #EFHW antenna.

3D2AG writes on his QRZ page that short path to Europe is blocked by mountains so this might have been long path QSO. I don't know how to verify that if that's even possible?

@doggle @actuallyautistic I always presumed my issues were related to #introversion and never ever suspected #Autism. It wasn’t until I spent a few years working with our #ActuallyAutistic son and read “ #Unmasking Autism” that I finally began to draw parallels in my life. And then I immediately moved to seek formal #DX.

I don’t have fixes for my challenges yet. But my awareness is at least helping out then in context.

Honestly, she had a diagnosis of NVLD from about 4 years ago. I don't think she'll have to much trouble. I do want to be as accurate and helpful as I can though. Her mother... my ex... has a tendency to treat any trouble or disability as an excuse to cover up behavioral problems caused by her bad parenting. So I have to be twice as good at this stuff to counteract.

@okeleydokely Given they are already aware of their #ADHD, do you think they will be very sensitive to the subject of #Autism? If so, what I found helpful was to begin reading books (e.g. A Boy Called BAT) and watching movies/videos with #Autisfic protagonists and presenting it in friendly ways, like “superpowers.” And once he was ready to discuss, we could approach it more openly. When I was #DX then I could share my own perspective for examples too. #ParentingWhileAutistic @actuallyautistic

If a #FOSS project's primary goal is usage (downloads + stars), then yeah, prioritize #DX above all else.

If the goal is to provide code as well-packaged, portable domain expertise to other devs, then DX takes a backseat. As good as it can be^1 without compromising the actual end product.

Your users (devs) may have to be more intentional/verbose. Even grok new things! But their users, the end users, will benefit from a faster, more accessible product.

Porting a number away from Twilio that I ported to it is proving to be a terrible developer experience.

#DX is more than the API and docs.

Self closing elements should have never ever made it to #HTML (or whatever) spec. Say what you want, but this does make the syntax more confusing, harder to read and more hostile towards new developers.
