The City of Dallas reveals that the Royal ransomware attack in May began with a compromised account. The city had to shut down all IT systems as a precaution after their network printers began printing out ransom notes the morning of the incident.

Dallas, Texas faced a nasty ransomware attack by the Royal gang, starting with a stolen account. From early April to May, the gang got into the city's network, swiping over a terabyte of files before dropping ransomware into the system on May 3rd.

The city fought back, taking crucial servers offline and starting the long process of fixing things up with the help of cybersecurity experts. It took over five weeks to get all servers back up, from the financial to the waste management ones.
The attack exposed personal info of over 30,000 individuals, costing the city a whopping $8.5 million for recovery efforts. The Royal gang, known for its sneaky phishing attacks and exploiting security flaws, emerged as a big threat in the cyber world, especially targeting enterprises. 🌆💻🔓

The founder and sponsor of a far-right network of secretive, #men-only, #invitation-only fraternal lodges in the US is a former industrialist who has frequently speculated about his future as a #warlord after the collapse of America, a Guardian investigation has found.

Federal and state tax and company filings show that the Society for American Civic Renewal (#SACR) and its creator, #Charles #Haywood, also have financial ties with the far-right #Claremont #Institute.

SACR’s most recent IRS filing names Haywood as the national organization’s principal officer. Other filings identify three lodges in Idaho – in #Boise, #Coeur d’Alene and #Moscow – and another in #Dallas, Texas.

My grandson, 15, was a passenger in a car that has been in a gnarly auto accident and is laying in a hospital north of #Dallas, TX. His mom is there, being medical advocate. I’m many hundreds of miles away. But, I would love to be able to pass along to her the number of a good #attorney. He went through the windshield, ejected from the car. It ain’t pretty. But he’s being a brave lad. Told his mom he “felt like Superman, flying through the air.” But he landed on his back 50 feet from the car, breaking 6 ribs, damaging his spleen & liver, 3-4 vertebrae etc. so I’d have to say he’s being fairly brave about it all. Anyway, I’m not doing a GoFundMe campaign, but I am asking if anyone’s familiar with a good, competent legal practice working in the #Texoma region north of Dallas? Let me know if you have anyone you’d recommend? TIA.
