Today I tried to think of my favorite #NASCAR #Daytona Duel underdog run since I first started watching regularly in the early 00s, and I think I have pinpointed it to watching Brad K get shuffled back and push Brian Keselowski up through the pack in an old Evernham I think car to make the race. I grew up a big fan of Bob Keselowski and the K Racing team, so it was neat to see them working like that with one another.
📰 BREAKING: The #75 Sun Energy 1 #MercedesAMG GT3 has won the Bathurst 12 Hour with Kenny Habul, Luca Stolz and Jules Gounon.
A remarkable achievement and a back to back win for the team. Gounon meanwhile joins the rare 3 timers club, scoring his 3rd victory at Mount Panorama.
Gounon is on a winning streak having won the #Rolex 24 Hours of #Daytona last week in the GTD-Pro Class with WeatherTech Racing, also in a Merc GT3.
Never kept up with the #Daytona 24 Hour before because some part of me (likely the ND part) goes “If you can’t watch the whole thing reasonably efficiently, why bother at all?”
But it’s been fun to pop in every few hours and catch 15 mins or leave it running in the background.
Definitely builds excitement for my summer plans to attend the Six Hours at the Glen!
