Holy cow! Actual riffs! Earworms! Has this band decided it's alright to cater to the arena demographic, actually? I mean, little of this will ever make radio, but then hardly any #Rock makes it to radio now. Or maybe, with Jaz saving his guttural screams for only a couple tracks, the turn towards more melodic content couldn't be helped.

You know what this sounds like to my ears? Fear Factory, but without the #DeathMetal aesthetic. Just as aggressive, just grander in scope.

🤣 An appeal to the #DeathMetal crowd is always appreciated.

10 years ago today the album "Darkest White" by Tristania was released. It was supposed to be the last one - last year the band announced their breakup.

From my point of view an incredibly good record, which despite good reviews remained largely under the radar in the scene. The triple of Demurtas' female clean vocals, Nordhu's clean male vocals and Hidle's growls works perfectly here.
