Any other #Destiny2 players generally insta-shred weapons if they don't have origin traits these days?
Yeah, there can be exceptions, like a specific old weapon or roll you're chasing.
But that's my approach now. I figure: we're drowning in enough loot as is, and this is a simple, broad, and relatively safe criteria I can use to cut out a good portion of that. #SeasonOfTheWitch
I don't need another summary of this week's story. I played the story.
What I want from him is cross-reference old lore and stuff like "Oh, here's the context for what happened" or "Here's how our understanding changed"
Seeing the quality of Byf videos lately has me feeling like I could produce more interesting content.

UPDATE: With the 7.2.0.4 update tomorrow, weapon crafting will largely go back to expected behaviors. Illegitimate frames and perks on crafted weapons will be replaced with legitimate ones and any attempt to craft new out-of-bounds weapons will kick the player to the login screen.

Self-fulfilling prophecy much, Bungie?
If you ignore a game mode for a couple of years and don't respond to the #1 player request for the mode, you do not then get to say that people aren't playing the mode and so therefore it deserves even fewer resources than it's getting.
Sigh. I haven't logged in and I am not going to even hit halfway on the season pass.
btw I reset Gambit last night so i'm SO fucking proud of myself!! I even invaded a couple times, and got at least one kill each time.

#Destiny2 has at last told us what the Veil is and where the Witness came from and… it is unsurprising, unsatisfying, and revealed at the wrong point in the game.
Unsurprising: this is both good and bad. It is good that the Witness is revealed as having a reasonable motivation, an animus that makes sense. It sucks that this motivation is *exactly the same* as Eramis's motivation to destroy the Traveler. It abandoned her species (because it was fleeing the Witness) causing a downfall, so she wants to hurt it back. The Witness is this, but at a species scale.
Unsatisfying: Well, the lore story of the Gardener and the Winnower was a better direction than this. The Gardner looking at possible futures and deciding they were all “vexing” and that they should take action to avoid it was a great setup. The balance was disturbed, and the Winnower had to right it.
Revealed at the wrong point: Discovering this should have been the storyline of the Lightfall expansion, not of season of the deep. *The seasonal content will be removed from the game.* It will be GONE come The Final Shape. And it's important to the overall story, unlike the discovery of some shiny cyberpunk empty city on Neptune. I don't know how any writer could make this decision. It must have been the brutal content-churning schedule Bungie is on that forced it.
