Have I done #TenGamesToKnowMe here yet? I forget.
If I have, this is an updated version for 2023. Here's mine, in no particular order.
* Centipede (my favorite game ever. Arcade version! Lemme shoot those bugs!)
* Black Widow (also the arcade version - I'm totally hooked on this one too, and it was a more recent discovery. When I go to an arcade with retro machines, I basically just want to play this and Centipede the whole time.)
* Wolfenstein 3D (a classic, still playable. Who doesn't love killing digital Nazis?)
* Diablo (1, 2, 3, 4, Immortal, any. Just choose one and I love it. What a series. Hooked.)
* Gun Nac (my favorite technical [ship based] shootemup-- if you don't count Centipede as a shootemup. A rare one for the NES. If you like shooters and get the chance to play this, even emulated, don't miss it.)
* Wizodd (I love roguelikes and indie games, and this one is both. Just a cool, simple game that's definitely beatable and replayable. But you won't beat it every time!)
* Mario Kart (another that it doesn't really matter the series, although the Wii one might be my favorite, closely followed by the SNES one. I definitely play the Wii one the most.)
* Doom (1 or 2, preferably. I feel like those are most classic, and those are the ones that got me hooked. More recent ones I'm not as much about, but those first two.. wow.)
* Beam Rider (I'm throwing this in because it's an amazing game for the Atari 2600. Maybe one of the best ones. I feel like it gets overlooked with all the other great ones on the system, River Raid, etc.)
* Beekyr Reloaded (okay, this is a weird one. I was tempted to put Neko Navy or Q-Yo Blaster or another modern indie shootemup that I love in here somewhere instead, but Beekyr is too rad. I love bees and I love shooters, so this one was definitely for me, despite its creator not really being happy with its port.)
Those are my ten, and I'm sticking with them. (At least for today 😂). There are SO MANY other games I love, but these ten are huge.

Also, it would have been so much easier if someone explained this to me, so here goes:
‘Aspects’ are just the unique affixes to orange/legendary gear. You can ‘extract’ an aspect at the occultist, which destroys the object, but now you can attach it to any yellow/rare or above gear.
This means if you get a good legendary early in the run, you don’t have to run around with low level gear just to keep the special ability.

I'm excited for #Diablo4 tomorrow but if I weren't buying it with leftover free bnet balance from my time working there, at this point I wouldn't touch it.
There are great devs at that company working their butts off to make some of the best games in the industry. And I hope they all leave for better studios as quickly as possible, because they don't deserve what #Blizzard puts them through, and Blizzard certainly doesn't deserve their talent and passion.

Spent some time reading few reviews and videos, tldr of #diablo 4
* campaign with a single character will take 30-50 hours, depending on what sort of things you will take up
* once campaign is done, you can skip it for other characters, so they can just head right through to endgame. Expect level 50 boost in mtx
* endgame is quite extensive, and of course given a live service they will augment it with seasons and such
* story is a let down (can't say I am disappointed, but was expecting this)

Can't believe it, just beat Diablo (on Normal) in Diablo II (Resurrected) using just a level 28 necromancer, one merc, and one blood golem. Sure, I have some great gear and I had to portal back to town a few times to get supplies, but that's a personal best. Diablo will straight up kill you instantly with all kinds of character classes if you're not careful. And we're not even talking Baal, just Diablo. Tough. Just goes to show that necros are an amazing class, and that blood golem is the coolest.

More shots of Diablo Immortal. I play it quite a bit. This is a necromancer character I had just recently started, I think I have her up to around level 14 now. The controls are good and tight, easy to learn, everything about it is pretty cool. (It's on PC too, of course, also free.) And you can even beam it to a TV from your phone and play via wireless controller- something I still need to try. I mostly just mess around with it on my phone. 🤣
Diablo Immortal has some of the most beautiful loading screen art I've ever seen in a game. The other Diablo games do too in some ways, but these are just BEAUTIFUL.
Also, the game is free to play, which is cool, and it doesn't have in-game ads or anything. I feel like it's the most fun, immersive mobile rpg I've ever played. You'll need a strong phone to run it, though. It's big and resource heavy. I have a new Samsung S21, these are screenshots from that. My old Samsung S7 could NEVER have run this properly.

Some weekends you get a lot done, some very little. I like both kinds. Most of today was the latter, just hanging with the wife watching Netflix and playing Wizorb. I'll probably dream in brick breaking. 🤣 Switching it up tonight with Diablo Immortal, which I can just never quit. I still blows my mind that this S21 can handle a game like this. Pretty detailed and CPU-intensive. I find it crazy fun. I've deleted most games off my phone but Immortal is a must, at, least for me. One of the most wild mobile experiences around (and it's also free on PC).

Hmm.. Diablo Immortal is for good reasons not available in the Netherlands and Belgium on iOS and Android but it still sucks..
Our govs see the lootboxes as gabmling and that's not allowed here :ed_grin:
On the other hand, the Dutch gov is the only one 'allowed' to have /online/ gambling stuff and they do a REAL BAD job at keeping people from it.. The opposite in fact.
