We usually go out for #Thanksgiving #dinner and then I'll make a #turkey with sides sometime later. Because this is the time of year when stores will sell you a turkey for $0.29/pound with minimum purchase or whatever, which translates to about $4 for a 12-15 pound bird. For two people, that's a big commitment. But what a deal!
This year I have decided the traditional sides will be collards, acorn squash stuffed with wild rice and topped with cheese, and kala chana masala. Because I said so.

This is a family favorite. It's the @tacobell Chalupa Cravings Box. The box consists of a delicious Chalupa, a large, filling 5 layer beefy burrito, a Taco (we always substitute soft tacos for regular), crisp cinnamon twists, and a medium fountain drink. It's a lot of food at a reasonable price.

I’ve had a lot of #spaghetti and #meatballs over the years, but the best I’ve had was made by an octogenarian grandma at a tiny #Italian restaurant on St. Clair West in #Toronto, which is now closed after ~50 years in business.
The second best spaghetti & meatballs I’ve had was just last week at home, no exaggeration. I have a fresh batch of tomato sauce simmering on the stove and the house smells amazing. We’re looking forward to having this for dinner again tonight!

I always host Thanksgiving Part II on Friday because we are always invited somewhere else for the Thursday Thanksgiving meal. I love cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner but thought I would shake things up by making Potatoes Au Gratin instead of Mashed Potatoes. My daughter protested vigorously so it’s back to the mashed version. Updates will be provided.
