I had an amazing day of outdoor activities! Spent around 45 minutes practicing #DiscGolf 🥏 Later, I indulged in a thrilling 2-hour session of #Pickleball with some friends and I had a blast.

Now, it's time to hit the showers and get some well-deserved rest. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day as I have the first tee time for my disc golf tournament. ⛳️🏆

Skipped the board games this week to go play disc golf with my friends. It's not something I do very often. We didn't really keep score, but I was well over par. I really should pick up some discs of my own.

Spent some time in the field practicing upshots and had to close out the day with some max distance shots. I can hit 250ft reliably and manage to cross 300ft for the first time ever. #discgolf

I honestly don't care much about pros. I do watch them to see how they play the game. It's really poor form for professional players to pout and play shitty because they can't keep their emotions together. It's unprofessional and disrespectful to the game and their fans. I just watched Lizotte melt down in Georgia on R3. It's kind of embarrassing for MVP. Play every hole and shot. #discgolf

What a moment for Kat Mertsch in taking down her first big tournament. That release of emotion was raw and powerful.

My problem with lonestar discs are two.

1. the plastic isn't better than star
2. the colors are too earth tone

I have a bayonet. It's like a more stable star shryke. it might be less durable. i've not thrown it that often because distance drivers are a bit out of my skill level. i've hit a few trees with it. it's showing more wear than if this were a star shryke.

i like the bayonet though. i will probably buy a couple more lone star discs, but the plastic isn't magic to me.

I wanna start reviewing #DiscGolf disc reviews based on how well they hold up to Little My to truly test their durability.

Like a DX Shark? Ripped in half immediately, had to pick up shredded pieces of it. But an Opto Fuse? Holding strong after a few months. Discraft Buzzz in plastic I forgot the name of? It's missing, I don't know what she did with it, it held up to biting but somehow it has vanished and I can't figure out how.

After what feels like weeks of rain, it was a lovely spring #philly day today. #discgolf was great at Ft. Wash; conditions pretty muddy at Sedgley (I threw at both!).

Sucks to hear about the spill in Bucks Co. impacting Philly water supply

Catrina Allen and Sarah Hokom made statements in a lawsuit coming out against trans women in #DiscGolf. Catrina made a big deal about how having to play against a "male" made her literally cry with how unfair it is.

Meanwhile here's the facts:

Pro tip for #DiscGolf folks: if you're ordering stuff from Lat64, get some socks. These are the best socks I've ever owned.

Hard to recommend people (in the US at least) order socks by themselves from Sweden but if you're already ordering discs add some in, trust me.

Played my first #DiscGolf round since last August, when I went on my "raising a real handful of a puppy from a young age" sabbatical. Had a lot of fun, shook some of the rust off, and finally fell back in love with my Fission Crave. Also decided that as much as I want to use a Moomin putter, I've really gotta just go back to my trusty Mint Bullet. Might put the Snufkin Berg back in my back for special shots though.

Back from the #DiscGolf course, new teepad successfully installed, just time to stick a pizza in the oven & watch the last bit of build-up before the #Formula1 .... boom!

Made the ill-considered move of committing to help the local #DiscGolf club install a new tee-pad this Sunday - completely forgetting that it's the first #F1 race of the season. 🤦‍♂️

I've been a casual #DiscGolf player since about 1995. So, here's a peek at my modded up Zuca cart. I've been slowly building it into an 'IRL Streaming Backpack' sort of rig when funds are available. Hopefully, by spring I'll have all the gear/tech finally purchased to have a really solid setup for Twitch streams, in even the worst cell coverage. (Without thousands of bucks invested and hundreds a month going to cloud and cell services)
