It is really weird but literally the only movie I think about from time to time is the documentary "The King of Kong". After last week’s fiasco, the #DonkeyKong PCB needed a repair. When putting the monitor back in the cabinet I inverted the two 3 prong connectors on the sound amp of the Sanyo EZ20. Two caps, two resistors and a transistor were blown on the game PCB and needs to be replaced. After putting every back together the game wasn’t working and I got a garbled screen upon boot. Removing my DK remix kit and plugging the Z80 directly solved the problem. Cabinet is ready to play again 😅 #arcade #arcadegaming #arcademachine #retrogaming

I fried my #DonkeyKong PCB 😭 After having changed the filter cap on the monitor chassis, I connected everything back and did a huge rookie error and inverted the 3 pin connectors on the EZ20 sound board. When turning it back on I heard an explosion, some fire and smoke. A cap and a resistor had exploded.
I’ll be able to save the board, parts are ordered and damage is only on the sound section. #arcade #arcademachine #arcadegaming

Poster from 2017 was slightly better, at least it had a theme going on.
They wanted me to include the guests: which were a bunch of british videogame devs (some ex Rare people, and some C64 devs), as well as a bunch of American youtubers.
I based the idea on the Japanese SMB3 cover and went all out.

You know the feeling when you’ve had so much fun, your heart goes from like 75 BPM to 500 and it starts to hurt??? That’s when your body is telling you, you’ve had too much fun and you need to stop. This is how I felt while playing the game.
My heart was running, jumping, falling, dying and then living again along with Donkey Kong. Throughout all of this, I had a constant smile on my face, as if I am DK.

This #VectorArt is based on the cover art from #DonkeyKong (1994) on the #GameBoy. I started working on this nearly a year ago, and have worked on it little by little.
It is okay to #cry if you see the #SuperMarioMovie trailer. It just looks like so much love had been out into making this work and it really respects the iconic elements of the series.
That and I adore #DonkeyKong and he looks so perfect for the movie.
