Just got home from my monthly local #Drupal meetup group, and feel intellectually refreshed like always.
Drupal is great software but every time I meet up with other devs in person, it reminds me just how great the community truly is.
“Come for the code, stay for the community”. So true.
I may live in the world of #Drupal now, but back in the day, I did a lot with #WordPress! I created themes that were used by lots of other sites, actively participated in the wordpress IRC channel, and wrote lots of hacky PHP to create custom functions.
I was there when Mike and Matt forked b2 and I eagerly followed WordPress's progress until 2009 when I started developing in Drupal.

I'm not aware of video documentation of the API's.
Having said that, the current API's are VERY similar to Drupal 7, so most #Drupal 7 videos on this topic would probably be pretty accurate.

I read over the updated #Drupal Code of Conduct and I like it.
I appreciate that it makes clear, "While every person is welcome, every behavior is not."
Also, that it applies to community members' behavior outside of formal Drupal spaces.
"bullying or harassment of community members that occurs outside of community spaces will be considered a code of conduct violation."
Finally, listing specific examples of positive behaviors and unacceptable behaviors is helpful.
I'm going to #DrupalCon next week, and I'm assuming that other #Drupal people might be, too.
