I composed INTERSECTIONS during 2021. I derived the music from a few samples taken from the Citizen DJ Project of Brian Foo at The Library of Congress citizen-dj.labs.loc.gov
I chose some voices that were inspiring, and generated some colors, some rhythms, some melodies and some harmonies.

#Listening to Life Forms by The Nomad:
The album this is from, Second Selection (1999) is one of my favourite albums of kiwi down tempo electronica. Especially the final track, Time is Running Out, whose warning seems all the more urgent almost a quarter of a century later:
Unveiling the harmonious convergence, 'Forgery' merges y Bernecoli's resonating violin and Elijax's enigmatic electronic essence. A prophetic voyage awaits, where melodies awaken the spirit. The I-Ching's wisdom unveils, whispers of enchantment ignite.

I still don't know what I think of it I think I have gotten a lot better... but it is my most played song with almost 3000 plays across all platforms.
It is call happiness is for wimps. the link leads to my bancamp

This new TMP track, "Passion", actually got me harshly threatened by Alex, telling me she'd physically hurt me if I changed the track even a slightly little bit from the state it was in
That's how much she likes it, now let's see about you 🥰
Did I mention you can download this for free if you want?

Presenting #Synthtember No. 30 "Some Final Notes from the Parallel Dementia." For the final #synthesizer improv for the month, @jlm and I wanted to do something a bit more elaborate - while maintaining the "first thought best thought" ethos of the other tracks. So, here's the epic (in length, at least) finale to a months worth of bleeps, bloops and wooshy noises. Hope you enjoy it. #ambient #electronic #psychedelic #music

Song of the Day - No 292
NEW ORDER - TEMPTATION
"Temptation" is a stand-alone single released by New Order on Factory Records in 1982, reaching number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. The 12" versions of "Temptation" and its B-side, "Hurt", later appeared on New Order's EP 1981–19821.

Everything on the new EP
originated as an entry to a beat battle or musical challenge.
It is the partner to "Ape Shall Never"
I hope you will get a chance to check it out, and that you enjoy it when you do!
new song today!
this track is one of those cases where I started out with an idea - in this case, to compose something vaguely trip-hop-sounding - and the composition almost immediately began to go off the rails. you can still hear a bit of the Massive Attack and Hooverphonic influence in the drum and bass loop, but the end result is more like if an androgynous Mike Doughty recited a poem over a slightly fucked up IDM track. (upon reconsideration, I guess that's just El Oso, except with more genderfuckiness.)
anyway, here's what came out!
This is an exclusive Mastadon promo for an album that tells a story: #headphones recommended!

Song of the Day - No 290
Olive - You're Not Alone
"You're Not Alone" is a song by the British band Olive. It was released in 1996 as the lead single from their debut studio album, "Extra Virgin." The track achieved significant success, topping the UK Singles Chart.
FUN FACT: I'm friends with Olive's singer, Ruth-Ann Boyle.
hi, everyone! since I'm on a new instance, I figured I'd post again about my music, because I'm excited as hell to share it with y'all! ❤️
I make electronic music, sometimes instrumental, sometimes with spoken-word poetry, and occasionally with some singing when I'm feeling confident. my main influences, genre-wise, include shoegaze and dreampop, industrial, trip-hop and a smattering of spoken-word artists (Kae Tempest, Leonard Cohen, Mike Doughty).
I currently have two albums up on my Bandcamp, https://rachelunderspoon.bandcamp.com :
nonbinaural is a full-length compilation of tracks that I composed and recorded throughout 2022. I never intended to write songs about the "transfem experience," but a few people have commented that they get major feelings of trans joy from the album, and, well, I guess that happened subconsciously somewhere along the way. 😅 but it also touches upon my struggles with recovering from codependency and finding my own voice after a stifling long-term relationship.
eclipse is an EP that I released back in April. it contains a few new songs from early 2023, plus a couple left over from 2022 that I didn't feel fit on nonbinaural. it's overall darker and more experimental than the full-length, and it touches upon some more traumatic themes that I wanted to confine to a shorter release.
both albums are available to stream for free, but you can download losseless copies of both for just $1 each. and your purchase of eclipse even gets you three bonus tracks: two instrumental versions of songs on the EP and an entirely original song!
oh, and you can also listen to some of my more recent compositions on my Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-93585615
either way, thank you for listening! 😁
Song of the Day - No 287
Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy
"Smalltown Boy" is a song by the British synth-pop band Bronski Beat, released in 1984 as a single from their debut album "The Age of Consent." The track addresses issues of homophobia and loneliness, and it became a significant hit in various countries.

#Synthtember Day 22
Back to #VCVRack for this one. A bit of generative stuff using just semi-random LFO's and sample and hold modules as the generative source (as opposed to modules designed for such things). I think this is one of my favorites from these synthtember recordings. Patch is available here:

I'm still halfway through this 2h compilation. My favorite track so far is Chronology 4.
#Synthtember Day 15
Something a bit different from the ambient and/or noisy stuff this time. This little chunk of kinda cheesy techno was made with Caustic (the phone app, which also has a free Win version). It started from a loop that's been kicking around on my phone for probably a year or so, but since it was the kind of idea that never fit with anything else I did (or was likely to do), it just sat there. Synthtember has given it a reason to live, lol.
Electronic is my favourite #NewOrder side hustle and I have been enjoying this album more and more. It's danceable rock with some hip-hop influences. The album starts off with an incredible track, which captures your attention immediately. I went ahead and treated myself with a very rare Taiwanese version for my birthday this year and the Discogs seller was just the best!

I need to figure out which of a loom of wires coming out of my car's ECU is supposed to be running to the fuel pump relay which a previous owner deleted.
I've heard that "clamp" style meters can measure wires without probing them. Will that work if the wire I'm looking for has been disconnected?
Any other features I should look for?
C2 - QUADRANTS: the stories of four turns 10 years old this year.
This was a dark times but resilience project with old friends, 16 track album in 4 sections each representing the four classical human temperaments and a dissent into madness.
Kia ora, hello! My name is Benet aka Dr Hitchcock and I’m looking for someone to hang out with and talk #MusicProduction every couple of weeks. I make #Electronic music, I love #Synthesisers and I make tunes with #Hardware and #AbletonLive. My ideal buddy would be located somewhere in #Narrm / #Melbourne on the Northside (sorry Southsiders) and available during school hours Mondays to Thursday during term time. If this sounds like a good fit buzz me on email@example.com.
Today’s group of 10/10 #electronic songs will be if you’re into the “standing at the edge of a cliff to the raging ocean in a hurricane singing about loss and love” vibe.
16. Worlds Apart - Seven Lions
17. Crave You (Adventure Club Remix)
18. Every Time - Seven Lions

These are five 10/10 electronic songs (and most of these are, in my opinion, the best of #electronicmusic generally—even among the 10’s).
11. Sea of Voices - Porter Robinson
12. Kusanagi - Odesza
13. Indian Summer - Jai Wolf
14. Lucid Dreams - Mat Zo
15. Mirages - Mitis
This was my favourite album for a while back in late 2021/early 2022 and for a good reason: it's a brilliant crossover event between #NewOrder, #TheSmiths, and #PetShopBoys. With so much musical experience, the jangly guitar sound of Marr and the danceable synths of Sumner it's no wonder that they wrote one of the most brilliant #90s albums. I was looking for it on #vinyl for a long time and finally found a copy!
2 discs because better sound quality? It definitely did sound good though, this is what I expected to hear from late #80s a✓:, namely #acidhouse with thumping bass and driving rhythms. It's got the a✓:-ness though, there's some squeaky brass sections here and there and the funk's all over. Guest vocals of Sumner of #neworder (I don't hear those really) and Denise Johnson (later on #electronic).

Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who redeemed a code for Tales of Werewolf Cheeseburgers. Like I was saying yesterday, this record means a lot to me since it was my first attempt at making music after being away from it for 12 years and is inspired by my becoming a parent.
So, here is a fresh batch of more codes. Please boost and share these with anyone you think might be interested the experimental electronic goodness.
Thanks for all who supported me on #bandcampfriday. That means a lot to me.
All the others, who didn't notice anything, are kindly asked to buy another album or / and write a nice comment. For that I'm going to give out some download codes. So that there is also something going on here.
