@Meyerweb There's a beautiful trend in my neck of Canada, where companies put their junk mail, and other #advertising in unlabeled envelopes so that people are more likely to open them instead of direct to garbage.
I'm sure they think it's a clever solution to their #engagement problems.

Sehr aufschlussreich ist auch das #Engagement: Während es in diesem (zugegeben noch recht jungen) Jahr nur einen Tweet von @heiseonline gab, der mehr als 50 Mal geteilt wurde, kommt der Mastodon-Account auf über 30 Beiträge mit jeweils über 50 Boosts. Ein eindrückliches Beispiel in den Screenshots und da ging es weder um Mastodon noch um Twitter ;-) Wenn man Twitters Suche noch trauen kann, wurden auch nur vier Tweets von #heiseonline in diesem Jahr mindestens 10 Mal kommentiert.

Adding alt text to images makes them accessible to a wider audience, increasing your reach and by extension your engagement out there. Many folks are more likely to share posts with alt text, too. It’s so easy to do—just click on "No description added" or "Edit" on your image once it’s uploaded before you hit that Publish button. 🦸

I've seen much higher amount of #engagement on #mastodon. From the amount of followers I've gained to the amount of those followers that are not just #bots. I went back and looked at my most recent ~30 #twitter followers and they are ALL bots. The boots and favorites I've seen here in just the few weeks vastly outnumber anything I got on #twitter over the course of several years.
So I guess this is all just to say #ThankYou to this amazing #community so far. What a great time!
