Something that struck me only after starting season 2 of #ForAllMankind - none of the main characters seem to have parents in their lives. There are no fathers or mothers in the family gatherings or involved in the lives of any of the grown characters. Which seems...odd.
@CultureDesk Is this the place for my theory: that #ForAllMankind (on AppleTV) has North Korea as the "East Asian unfriendly nation" rather than the more plausible China, who is barely mentioned in the setting except to say "they are rich"

Watched the first episode of season four of #ForAllMankind and I still love it. The alt-history stuff is great, the space stuff makes me mad that we've fallen so far behind, and it's still great fun. Though I kind of miss how hooked we were when we first watched it. Literal edge-of-our-seats watching these historical events. Going in to watch one episode and watching three cause "HOLY SHIT!".

If the mission failure rates in #ForAllMankind are this high in the episodes, I wonder if the missions not shown on screen are equally bad or better.

The season 4 timeline of For All Mankind. They actually seem to live in one of the best timelines. They get all the way to 2002 without the internet, but the USSR still exists. On the other hand John Lennon survived and the Beatles had a reunion concert, plus travel to Mars has been cut down to a month, and there are colonies on the Moon and Mars. But... Haliburton is on the moon. #forallmankind
I liked seeing Ed and Svetlana’s friendship develop more and I’ll be interested to see where their story goes.

#ForAllMankind The Bear Hug - this was an amazing episode! The story for Miles continues to unfold in a great way that reveals a lot about the society that’s developing on Mars.
Aleida and Kelly’s storyline opens up a lot of interesting possibilities in the search for life and I love seeing them working together.
Poor Margo has been through such a terrible ordeal in the USSR. I’m glad she now has a new opportunity, but I still sense a lot of danger for her. 1/2

I really want Miles (Toby Kebbell) to become the leader of the first strike and workers union on Mars. It's 50:50 though that he will become a drunk and make a bad mistake and/or will die.
Watching this season of #ForAllMankind while reading #ACityOnMars by @ZachWeinersmith and @fuschmu is a confusing combination.
#ForAllMankind has never been shy about social commentary. This week's episode hits hard on the Capitalism, Classism, "Company Store" slavery and Racism. Love the writing. Even in a different timeline, we still have trouble getting over parts of our humanity.
Excited to see where Kelly and Aleida end up. Also bracing for the fallout of the inevitable class revolt on Mars.
Gonna be a fun season.
The episode was particularly effective in highlighting the disconnect between these two groups. The astronauts, who were once portrayed as heroes, are now seen as arrogant and dismissive of the concerns of the people who support them. This shift in perspective is jarring and unsettling, but it is also necessary to shake up the show's narrative and keep it fresh.
🚀 Just caught the latest episode of "For All Mankind" and WOW, it's a game-changer! 🌌 This show has always been stellar, but this episode takes it to a whole new level. It brilliantly portrays the contrast between the "upper echelons" and the "everyday workers" in a way that's both eye-opening and thought-provoking.
....oh, and Space Workers would already have a Union, #TheExpanse and #ForAllMankind telling me all about that one!
#ForAllMankind Have a Nice Sol (S4E2) - this is another amazing ep! I love how they’re directly addressing the class differences on Mars. I also loved how in a small way (so far) Dani is advocating for those on the lower levels and I hope that continues.
And what a great ending! It’s fascinating that the Soviet Union has lasted until 2003 in the show. I’m really intrigued by what comes next and what that means for Margo and the world. Can’t wait for next week!

Seems like more of the #ForAllMankind formula so far: political intrigue, personal drama, space disasters. Not that I'm complaining!
I'm not quite clear what the arc of the season will be but a lot of it seems rooted in traumas from past seasons (mostly S3).
Looks like they chose to or had to write off a few cast members? But also the originals are all getting quite old in universe! Hard to believe this is on a fourth season already.

#ForAllMankind is impressing me at the end of season 1. The willingness to tell a story rather than run around a cast of fan favorites is sadly abnormal in most shows I’ve seen.

#ForAllMankind Glasnost (S4E1) - loved this episode! Love what we see for the returning characters, esp Ed, Margo, and Dani. I’ve always loved this show’s continuing to push toward the next exploration frontier while acknowledging the cost of that, including the lives lost.
I also liked the introduction of new characters and I’m esp intrigued by Miles. I think seeing a working class perspective is going to be fascinating. Can’t wait for the next episode!

I wasn't really liking the first couple episodes of #ForAllMankind but I am so glad I stuck with it because it picks up steam fast and by the end of the first season is some of the best television out there.
