Rare Mary balcony visit. Isn’t she pretty?

Did you mistake her for Studs? She’s smaller, not eartipped, has a ring of white around her neck, only has one eye covered by tabby, and has a longer tail with more defined rings and a white tip. Oh and her legs are mostly white (whereas Studs has a tabby “sleeve” on one front and one back leg.

Someone I used to know considered Mary to be antisocial. Nope. She’s just got very firm boundaries. Be in one of the spots where she feels safe, let her come to you and she’s ALL about the loves. Her tail even puffs up and quivers with cuddle happiness.

My little former feral asked me to please climb into the bed for a cuddle, but now he is going to stay over there, on the other side, where he feels safe. But he would very much like me to stay, too, just on the far side. He's still got such a sweet plaintiff kitten meow even though he is now over 3 years old.

(Ditto is actually a very good cuddler, when he wants to be.)

Yesterday, he made it past the dog (who ignored him) and onto the back of the couch, but before making it to my lap, he somehow lost his balance and fell off the back of the couch. He blamed the dog for the whole thing. (The dog is innocent.)

Nail trims at the vet today. Meg was traumatized and meowed all the way there and back. Dash as usual was silent and not bothered by any of it. He’s 100% more chill than his mother. But cat cuddling *is* harder to interrupt than pistachio eating!
