Dealing with "house of cards" issues today - couldn't track down an issue that was completely breaking the load process of my #MSX project. Seemed adding and removing things arbitrarily would fix or break it.
When that happens, check byte alignment of code! One of my pre-allocated structs was an odd-byte size and the compiler (sccz80) didn't adjust the BSS properly.
Wasted 2 hours! All good now. Phew.

On the assumption that the #AI door has been opened and there's no closing it, we need to start advocating for ethical use.
- Determine ethical ways to build learning libraries.
- Lobby for laws that can be enforced to protect IP creators.
- Identify use cases where AI is a force multiplier for human creativity rather than a clumsy replacement, and champion development in that direction.
- Unionize, so those with more power/money/greed than sense can't "replace" us with bots.

I have a new paper out, published in the new ACM Games journal! It's about in-app purchases in mobile games so it might be of some interest to people who play or make these sorts of games.

@raccoonformality On a personal note, I really struggled with math. My father could do long division in his head, but I did not get the math gene. I barely got a C in college algebra. (And there is some new research that there _is_ a math gene.) So what if you don't get As in math?
