Been playing a lot of Toy Story for the SNES/Sega. There's a lot of differences between them and IMHO the Sega version is the best one for the extra screen space alone. I written down a lot of info for a review or guide I might want to make.
Fun fact: both versions don't have passwords in the US version and both have different layouts for the Doom-like level.

👾 Retro Gamers, what is your opinion on these two #SegaGenesis titles? Alien 3 seems to have a lot of great reviews online, I really enjoyed playing it as well.
3D Blast always felt very incomplete to me. I did enjoy playing it, but there was that feeling of the game being just a prototype. Although I hear the newer Directors Cut of this game makes it feel like a whole new - complete - game, so I hope to get a copy soon. 🦔

👾 A couple more random games from my collection. I remember accidentally discovering Zero Tolerance from my dads collection when I was around 6. I was already killing it on Doom & Wolfenstein 3D on DOS so this game fit right into that genera I was playing at the time. (I need to find a proper case for this game)
Animaniacs had a lot of good memories as well but I always thought that game was really hard at the time.

I selected “Random Game” on my #MiyooMiniPlus and it gave me Haunting Starring Polterguy by EA for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. It’s a game where you’re a poltergeist called Polterguy and you’ve got to jump in and out of different home objects in order to scare the occupants and get them to move out. Quite a fun little game.

I listened extensively to this album a couple of years ago and I don't think I fully understood Genesis back then, but it did something with me that made me come back. The album has a vast sound that I can't properly describe, it makes me nostalgic. This album has its highs and its lows, but it certainly ended at its highest with Follow You Follow Me, which is a beautiful song.

One of those arcade games that was easy to miss, Flicky was nonetheless a joyous platformer where your cute little chick attempted to rescue other cute little chicks, and lead a string of them to safety, while avoiding cats. Which you could bean with hammers.
OK, that bit was less cute, but this was a fab game. The 1990s port to Sega’s 16-bit console was fab too.

I have options for it, but not in the input config where I could enable it on certain buttons.
The #GBA / #GB / #NES cores all have turbo buttons auto-configged on the X/Y buttons, but not the #Genesis / #MegaDrive
Yesterday I remembered #EccoTheDolphin #games from #Genesis and I can't stop listening it's OST.
My mom gave me this game when I was a kid, thinking that it is a cute game about a sweet dolphin. And while Ecco is sweet, the game is far from being cute. Creepy #HRGiger alien creatures harvesting sea life to prevent their own extinction, giant biomachines, an alien Queen looks like a giant mass of flesh... I love it so much.

After rediscovering #Genesis, and #SNES games I just realized that all the best #retroGames got sequels and remakes on the #GBA!
It's hard to decide whether to play the old version or the much prettier remakes; #Metroid, or Zero Mission?
Even #Sega games like #sonic and #gunstarHeros wound up there.

Hopefully I understand the purpose of this thread, and if so, a few things for those looking to get into #Genesis / #MegaDrive.
Original Hardware
Over time, Sega both added additional security to the Genesis/MD, as well as reduced its sound output quality. If you want an OG console, for a NA Genesis, find one that has the “High Definition Graphics” text above the cart slot, and the “EXT” port on the back.
