Overall, #Hijack is a pretty good thriller with a couple of nice twists that make it a fresh take on the #genre, though it still heavily relies on stereotypical scenarios.
The son's storyline was lazily done and resolved, as was the final encounter.
C+/B-, 3.5 stars.
Oh yeah, can we also stop with the highly toxic and overly common portrayal of men trying to "win back" women who have moved on as anything but controlling and at least borderline criminally stalkeresque? Thanks male writers!

I'd go with "splainer". The "splain" as a genre is predominantly carried out from men to women, hence the famous "mansplaining" term. Notwithstanding, it can be done from any gender towards any gender, leading to the suggested broader usage "splain".

I've actually never heard of " #OrientalMetal " before
#Genre was maybe the wrong word to use before (not sure if I should go back and change it?) the geographic label is more just a "category" that overlaps with genre and style.

The most surprising thing about the shifter romance and shifter erotica genres is how little actual *shifting* takes place in so many titles. I should add that I completely agree with @venya - that people's ways of using these websites can vary hugely. There's no one size fits all. Personally, though, I never use #music discovery, and absolutely never stream music, other than to briefly check out an artist. I've refrained from claiming the roots of all "#popular" music (the extremely broad #genre, not specifically every #music style people like) is the music of #Black people, but I'll do so no longer.

Okay, here is one I'm sure plenty of #ElectronicMusicians will get.
It's almost a cliche, but I don't really know what #genre of #music I'm making at any given time. The odd time, sure, "that could be hiphop" or good old catch all terms like #IDM or #Electronica can be applied without much issue.
However the real problem arises when you think well perhaps is "BonkWave" or whatever, and then some other #MusicHead who is Full On Bonk Wave Hard says "This is not Bonk Wave"

Et si je contrebalançais mes derniers posts tristes avec quelque chose de chouette ?
Y a deux projets linguistiques qui me tiennent très à coeur:
1. travailler avec d'autres personnes #queer sur le lexique et la grammaire neutre/dégenrée française
Les vieilles formes du français et les langues régionales peuvent nous apprendre beaucoup sur le genre neutre, et il n'est très gratifiant de même créer des choses avec simplement la phonologie française et l'orthographe. Pas besoin de citer les #neopronoms comme exemple !
2. Aider les langues régionales françaises à revivre, à survivre et à se faire réapproprier par leurs locuteurs
(pour moi focus sur le #breton / #brezhoneg et le #poitevin / #Poetevin )
Ces langues pourraient bien aussi bénéficier de groupes de travail sur les termes queer, sur la #sexualite le #genre les dynamiques romantiques etc !
Il me semble qu'un lexique queer et féministe doit sortir cette année ou l'année prochaine par le collectif #difenn en Bretagne

Also, the fact that you can do genre interpretation in your field much better than I could ever hope to do, demonstrates the mastery that follows with knowing and practicing a genre in contrast to just knowing the theory of genre.

Second, I review songs not compositions. A #song is #music AND #lyrics, meant to be sung together. So if you compose music in a genre that does not have words set to a melody, some of my observations won't apply to you.
If you write songs in a #genre other than the ones I listed in my previous post, some of my thoughts won't apply to you, either. Like all advice, take what you feel is useful and ignore the rest. Don't @ me about it. I'm not going to cover all aspects of each genre.

Perhaps millions of readers over several generations. Readers who’ve thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
But putting this aside: you can defend your mass market work without attacking high modernism. This is just lazy.

#Genre #Definitions may only matter in the academic sense, but they are meaningfully distinct. They denote a #Story's main focus/purpose. e.g. A #Horror story's purpose is to frighten/horrify the reader and reveal what's cathartic and healthy about doing so. For one, if we don't confront our fears in some way, they only grow.
Outside academia, I don't think people agree on #Genre #Definitions. #Writers themselves don't want their work limited to one label - crime, mystery, horror, thriller... A cagey writer might say, "I write #Novels with crime, mystery, horror, and thrills."
