I don't need to play #BaldursGate3 to know. This year's #GameAwards are a no-brainer. Last year, I wanted #EldenRing to win, and I had to endure all the rewards going to #GodOfWarRagnarok which was also a good game, but... Another one. #GodOfWarRagnarök 100%’d. Slightly disappointed there isn’t an achievement for the game+ that won’t let you change the difficulty. I went to story more more times than I’d like to admit so I’m going to try and beat game+. So 99% done in reality.

I did an #HourOfCode style workshop at my local #library, where I presented a scene from #GodOfWarRagnarok and helped kids through some practice exercises in scratch/python that accomplished something similar. Towards the end of the session, I gave them the option to keep #coding or doing a Q&A on anything regarding God of War development or working in #gamdev.
And almost all of them opted to keeping working on the programming exercises! (Which was 100% okay with me.)

Bar die Kohle für 2 x PS5 in der Hand, aber null Bedarf mir eine zu holen. Gutes Gras oder neue Wohnzimmer-Rumgammel-Möbel für 500 € wäre mir lieber.

I think I will just continue playing God of War: Ragnarok over Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The new Zelda seems like more of the same, based on reviews. Too much open-world for my taste. I like older Zelda games with more intricate dungeons and linear progression. Plus, more structured games with a good story, while sometimes giving room for exploration. Like God of War: Ragnarok.

J'ai mis 40mn pour venir à bout du Roi des Berserkers. Et 2h30 pour la Reine des Walkiries (très bon boss optionnel !)
J'ai redémarré une partie New Game + en mode de difficulté "extrême". Mais 3h et 3 boss sans mourir 1 seule fois plus tard, ça m'a lassé. Et je ne me vois pas retenter complètement de 0 juste pour un pseudo-challenge.
Je m'arrête là pour cet opus.

I've been avoiding big games this year like #HogwartsLegacy, #JediSurvivor, and #GodOfWarRagnarok (which is on my watch list and keeps getting cheaper), but i did pick up #LilGatorGame (short & cute), #MetroidPrimeRemastered and the #BurningShores DLC. I'm almost finished with the latter's story, and I think I'm most of the way through MP.
I know once #TearsOfTheKingdom is out, everything else is on hold indefinitely.

I’m glad I reduced the difficulty to beat The Maven, but it boggles my mind how much harder that fight was to some of the others. I beat Garm’s fights in just a few attempts, ditto Heimdall, and now just beat the Soul Eater and Crimson Dread, all on Give Me Balance.
Currently fighting Heimdall and I’m loving the creativity of this section, on the stage with his Bifrost arm. The story bosses really are a highlight, Garm was another great encounter.
Third time starting up this game, now to collect more new stuff in #godofwarragnarok, while I wait for #HorizonBurningShores

Frustrations subsided, not that I’ve past the current round of tedium it’s more fun again, will probably get tedious a bit later on again, but really keen on #JediSurvivor and i feel this will likely provide valuable context.
I know #GodOfWarRagnarok was quite playable with 2018, but did make more sense when I went back, played it and then started over.
I may still table flip, but I guess the further I play the harder that will be…
Finished God of War: Ragnarok's main storyline over the weekend. It definitely got better in the 2nd half, but still felt a little dragged out and grindy at times. At one point, a character died who I had never seen or heard before but it was made into a big deal and I was V confused. 🤷♂️
Anyway, great in many respects, but left me wanting in some areas.
Started the Resident Evil 2 Remake right after. Absolutely loving it. Playing with headphones on = TERROR.

Second game of 2023 wrapped! In preparation for playing #GodOfWarRagnarok I returned to Midgard and played through #GodOfWar2018 to completion. Absolutely riveting experience. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into the sequel!

I was going to start #GodOfWarRagnarok but.....I've spent the last hour watching Isshin tutorials and I'm thinking like tonight might finally be the night I conquer my Everest.
Unsurprisingly I give it a 10/10.
I can’t imagine how difficult it was to try to follow up the 2018 game, but they did an incredible job and created a true work of art, so yeah, it’s a masterpiece. Incredibly fun, challenging, epic, beautifully scored and emotional❤️

I'm lukewarm on the actual awards show, but if anything is deserving of winning it's #Tunic. I know it won't beat #GodOfWarRagnarok, but it deserves to. In every possible way, Tunic was a more fulfilling and magical experience. God of War: Ragnarok was visually impressive, but bland despite the many hours and mountains of capital poured into it.
Seriously, go play Tunic if you haven't. You will be continually surprised by this game.
I spent 40 minutes trying to figure out how to move forward on my (first?) visit to Nidavellir in #GodofWarRagnarok, and after finding a tiny door in the back of a tavern the game gave me a compass that points me where to go
Seriously, Richard Schiff as Odin is mind-blowing. The writing for the Norse gods in this game is beautifully true-to-legend yet subversive, and Schiff's performance is Schiffy yet Odiny.
Loving this game. Its writing is everything I wished it to be.
Being able to edit social media posts is cool when you have a good, simple UI for exposing said edits. #Mastodon

Anyway: #GodOfWarRagnarok is outstanding. You can hate on AAA games all you like, but this is a monumental game; worth every penny you spend on it and and then some!

You'll hear many praises for this game: the technical artistry, the incredible voice acting and motion capture, the inspired level design, the ever-expanding coil of gameplay systems, great writing that is overtly anti-colonial, etc.
Here's what people aren't saying: It's too fucking much!
I had the whole week off, and played this game like a job; until 3am some nights! I was determined to finish it before work Monday. I couldn't even come close!

I'm enthralled with #GodOfWarRagnarok's story, but the combat is really sucking the life out of it for me. Not because I don't want combat, but because it has the same flaws that the #GodOfWar 2018 did which render it frustrating and boring.
Just rolled credits on #GodofWarRagnarok. Visually captivating the whole way - felt like a fantastic Disney ride in most parts. Great story with relatable characters. Highly recommended.
Feeling a bit anxious about the outcome as I close in on the end of #GodofWarRagnarok.

Finally played a bit of #GodOfWarRagnarok tonight.
I don't have a #Playstation so I have to wait a year or two for the PC release of #GodOfWarRagnarok. Really glad #Mastodon gives me the tools to try and avoid spoilers on the internet, 🙂
